Title: Clearing playback Ram of music data under ver 201
Post by: Robert on June 20, 2015, 03:11:38 am
Hi in checking my playback ram after playing tracks it is not clearing before new tracks are loaded. With some 24/192 HD tracks its getting full and play stops. Clearing away played tracks does not clear ram either.

I have ticked the always clear proxy before playback box under settings. Under ver 1.186a I just pushed the C button. This does not clear the ram under version 201. The only way I can clear is to X xxhighend and restart from fresh.

I have read your 201 notes but??? anyway this is what your notes say under 1.186.

Quote
Following up on the previous subject, the [ C ] button (Clear Cache) now shows an Active/Inactive led and that will show Active when the "Always clear Proxy before Playback" button has been set active. This is your upfront indication that the Proxy will be cleared by standard before Playback starts.

Hi Robert,

Your digging up of the Release Notes is appreciated (seems not easy to me to do). But you made one tiny mistake : you forgot to read the release notes of 2.02 :

• A Message like "Problem clearing the Proxy's would appear for read only coverart files (for the Front and Back covers). This has been solved.

Yup.
Haha.

But ... THis is not really about letting the RAM run full I'd say. So now I wonder. All I know is that I have no problems with it after what ? 3-4 weeks ?

Strange question maybe : can you proove (to yourself) it is not working ? (like look into the folder and press that button)

Also, *what* is actually not working ? Only that press on the [ C ] button ? Or also when in Settings that button (see your quote from 1.186) is activated ? The latter I use ... (and I therefore obviously never use the [ C ] button.

??
