Title: General Multi Ram Boot Disc OS Activation and W8 questions
Post by: boleary on January 07, 2016, 02:36:53 pm
1. First time turning on the disc and choosing an operating system, will the OS boot and then notify me that I have so many days to activate with a windows key?

2. Will my current windows 8 key work for the W8 OS on the disc?

3. Will my current W8 key work for the W10 OS's on the disc? (No internet connection active on PC)

4. Will I be able to load and run the Ram Boot Disc W8 OS into memory too? If so how does that sound compared to the various versions of  W10 running from Ram?

Thanks!

Yes, for the same PC where you previously used the same OS(-key).

Thanks, looking forward to the journey -- all that A-Bing between OS's!

I can tell you that this A-B-ing is not so long-winded as you may expect. I mean, for by and by now, it takes a few minutes only to judge. But the whole (for me crucial) point is that one must be able to switch comfortably. And that is what I am putting the final tough on/to/at/whatever.

Just envision reality :
In due time you have 10 OSes on that single SSD (this easily fits). Btw, this will be 20 versions with a different sound (each from SSD and from memory). Now (e.g. !) Intona-2 comes about. What most of you didn't experience yet is that you now MUST go through all the OSes fairly quickly, in order to find that (e.g. again) 10586.0 is the best one. This, while previously it was 10074.
Today I really do this. A year ago I wouldn't take the effort. But this is because no OS will be the permanent best one. Thus it always requires looking back. Btw the reason why I included W8. And for fun we will add W7 ourselves, later.

Now it is like changing a setting which requires a reboot.

Regards,
Peter

That is so cool Peter.  Even more happy to be getting one now.
