Title: Rosenrot
Post by: PeterSt on January 11, 2016, 08:48:52 am

Ok, this is the day you will send me to the mad house;

All so often I like to declare the best sounding album ever and this is the first time I am really going to do so. Yesterday I thought it's this one :

Ok ... :swoon:

No, I am not a Rammstein fan at all but after playing this album for the first time, yesterday, I may just as well try all of the others.

The reason I played it (never mind I never played it before) was quite explicit; I just thought that my system could have it. The full fat sound of those guitars. Actually I was playing something from Dread Zeppelin which reminded me of Rammstein, and Ciska here said exactly the same while I was browsing for a random album of them already.

After 2 minutes into the first track I was still with open mouth of what was all happening. Never ever has the room been so full of sound. This, while I already knew how distortion guitars can sound be-au-ti-ful-ly. This is related to the spades of air in between the on-sounds of such guitars (envision they go on-off-on-off-on-off all the time). The more air your system is able to create (so to speak) the more beautiful they become. Beautiful is literal and you just must hear it to understand.

Yes, you can think I'm crazy regarding this latter part, but if you think so then all you testify is that you don't know.
Not yet.

Surely you are allowed to say that I am crazy for liking any Rammstein, but I wouldn't be too sure about that either. However, first it must "work". And over here that seems to be the case now.
Otherwise in my view the lyrics are intelligent, the rhymes are crazily good, the music itself is more varying than anything I know and the sound quality is plainly superb.
Today it is.
It seems to be a matter of : like I talked about yesterday; all sounds so "right" now, and thus music like this is working out ? it must be about that.

Side note : Since much of Rammstein is about the lyrics (and mind you, when so good sounding, the heavy metal like is just nowhere to be noticed (!!)) - I now realize that they sing in German and many of you won't be able to understand. Pitty !

I thought to preserve this for next week or so, because that will be the time that I will announce my tweak (for all NOS1a customers to have). But this morning I thought I would loose the moment of this extasy from all angles, and post about my Rammstein experience anyway; To put this in the Playback Tweaks board is a kind of twist.

:bye:
Peter

Although probably they won´t be among my favorites I recognize that they sound good even in my laptop. To my surprise there is a song in Spanish in the Rosenrot album:

Te quiero puta (I love you bitch). Not too much place for the imagination... ;): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEj2ZRZ7L74&index=9&list=PLC23917C925F17DAC (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEj2ZRZ7L74&index=9&list=PLC23917C925F17DAC)

There are however in the album a variety of sounds and melodies that make it interesting.
