Title: RAM-OS Small Problem

Arjan, try this :

Start in Unattended. All cosy ?
Now bring up XXHighEnd and only that. So let music continue ...

This is the way I listen -  i.e. once in Unattended press Alt X to bring the XX interface up. However there is a problem that I have not had before (I use 586 in RAM but same problem in 586 BASE unsurprisingly).  So after pressing Alt X nothing happens I always have to press it again to get the interface up - then I get error message about two versions running. I cannot get the interface to come up first time.

A minor problem but I have not encountered it before the RAM-OS system.

Paul,

I've had this exact problem sporadically even running XXHE without the RAM-OS in unattended mode, so I suspect it is not related to running the OS from RAM.

Hmm ... I don't recognize this. But this can be because I use the OSK (XXOSK.exe, see screen shot below) exclusively for that, which is also related to using RDC - and that RDC running on another PC where I also have XXHighEnd and thus Alt-X applies to there.

Can you follow ?
... Wat I'm almost saying is : can't this be an RDC(-related) issue ?
So what *is* your situation regarding this ?

Regards,
Peter

Paul, I must read better ... See my emphasis now ...

At this moment I can't tell what this is, but at least it is something not right and bad in general.
Btw it is quite easy to do something wrong and don't see it. Example : using Alt-u while you can see that something goes wrong; first a hiccup and next the Coverart won't show until the next track. This is potentially such a situation you describe.

Its OK there is no problem after all it appears that I was not waiting long enough for the XX GUI to come up. It seems that it works OK but it just takes longer than I was used to.

Cheers
