Post by: ismewor on March 18, 2016, 11:10:20 pm
Hi Peter
I just sign up for the RoonLabs software. it is pretty nice eyes candy.
Have you try it? btw, it also work with Tidal as well.
Can Roon work with XXHighend?

Thanks,
Adrian

Hi Peter,

Please do take a look at it. it will be a total killer package if roon can pass through the streaming to XXHighEnd like HQPlayer does.

Thanks,
Adrian

Adrian,

FYI : If it's done like that SQ will be poor.
Take a look at how XXHighEnd deals with Tidal currently; no single way that anything can be detrimental to SQ. Of course it needs some insight in XXHighEnd's working before you can really understand. So you need to trust me a little.

Peter

Hi Peter,

Yes, i'm with you all about SQ. on the other hand there are convenience and user friendliness should put into count as well.

btw, i read the Tidal of XXHighEnd, so it is downloaded before play which is totally different from on the fry streaming. anything else that separate XX from others?

Hi Adrian,

That is a bit of a tough question because XXHighEnd is different from about all angles.
But an example, a bit in the realm of Tidal : When you play music, th Network can be shut off for again better SQ. This all goes automatically.
Maybe the point is : it is about best SQ and actually nothing else. And now everything matters. Really everything ...

Still playing with SFS=4 ? then try SFS=0.8 or something which is still allowed by your PC. And if you don't hear a difference, something is wrong somewhere. But anyway, it is still "bit perect".
Or try Minimized OS and you will be shocked (just for what difference it makes and if all is right for the way better).
