Title: Defragging with RamOS
Post by: Robert on May 03, 2016, 09:08:25 am
Is it necessary to revert back to base and doing disk cleanup and defragging in the Ram OS one uses?

Anything one should do to maintain Ram OS in good working order?

Robert,

The best treatment is to never use the BASE (hence use it only to boot into RAM which means "copying" it).

Otherwise I don't think that defragging is going to help for anything, except for when using it from BASE. But this wasn't meant to happen in the first place, so ... :)

Of course the BASE has to be used to set things, but with the very few things changing because of this, this is harmless.

If you try, make a copy of the file of concern first.
