Post by: Rozzo on March 28, 2017, 05:33:31 pm
Hi Peter,

Got it working last week, but after tweking so much, I decided to reinstall.

Since them, no sound.

Attached a recording of the messages I got.

Windows 10, Sound Blaster ZR, 24-192000, Speakers.

Hi there Rozzo,

I have seen your screenshots but it is a bit difficult to interpret what could be going on. Oh, the very last screenshot is (as it looks to me) about the Demo version and the end of session playtime. This errors for version 2.07 (this is not intended of course). Thus, this can happen once per say 20 minutes on average.

Did you investigate whether the proper sound device is still selected ?
Important : an other bug of 2.07 is that when the sound device is changed, you must also kill the sound engine; otherwise the change does not come through. You can kill the sound engine by clicking on the blue led in the right hand border. When the led goes black, the sound engine has been killed and you can press Play again.
It is best to always do this when something goes wrong at the start of playback, like in your situation.

When you can't find the culprit (and it looks like I am in the blind too at this moment) you can engage logging (at the bottom of Settings), kill the sound engine, stop and restart XXHighEnd, press play, let the first error message occur and with this first error message still on screen (just let that be) grab the newest log files in the TemporaryData sub folder to your XX folder -  prefixed with XX, X3PB and X3 (thus 3 of them in total). You can attach them to a forum post (under Additional Options when making a post). Hopefully I can see something from there (usually that helps).
Btw, maybe the X3 log file will not exist because playback does not commence at all.

Best regards,
Peter

PS: And welcome here !

PS: I now see that this "Initialize component" message is there from the start (on the taskbar). So now it looks that this is not related to the demo session time at all. But whether it is related to your real issue (no playback), I can not tell from here.

So, apparently this error message (Initialize Component) is also happening while it shouldn't. For that you could separately grab the XX prefixed log file (more are not necessary for this message) when *that* message appears (and let the message be until you grabbed the log file).

Hi Peter, you can find the log files attached to the initial post.

Did the thing with the blue led in the right side, but no sound the same.

I tried to activate XXHighend, but was not able because it doesn't play.

Hi Rozzo,

Thank you for the log files. Still difficult ...

We can go back and forth with ideas, but faster will be that I look via TeamViewer what is going on. Teach me some Spanish on the way, ok ? :)

You find my email address (sales-at etc.) in my profile and you can send the Teamviewer ID and password to there. N.b.: Password must always be re-sent when Teamviewer is restarted at your side.

Regards,
Peter
