The server dealing with the forum and the email (this is the same server) ran into its "virtual" size limits and needed expansion of the OS file. Well, people with the RAM-OS Disk will recognize some of this. Me luckily too. But in this (Linux) situation it was difficult to recognize the problem and next needed quite some hoopla to expand the OS. Regards to all and apologies for the possible inconvenience.
