Title: Question about option Q.
Post by: Francy2007 on December 11, 2020, 10:05:19 pm
Hello,
I would like to know, if possible from Peter, on which parameters the Q controls affect. For example I noticed that setting Q1 with lower values the sound becomes thinner and brighter.
Best regards.

Vincenzo

Vicenzo,

There is substantial discussion on the forum about the Q parameters.  You might start by looking at the introduction to the different parameters and what they do.

You will see from people's signatures that there are few variations  on what works best for different set ups.

Hi Vincenzo,

Ramesh is correct;
Generally it is about smaller sizes means smaller buffers hence a faster response time from the resources (like CPU) hence a different current draw signature.

By all means compare with Q3, 4 and 5 all at 1, vs some or all not at 1. There's all kinds of special treatments in there, and ALL combines with all of the other parameters(so prepare to get mad).

Kind regards,
Peter
