Title: Error's, Remarks
Post by: JohanZ on June 21, 2007, 11:08:41 pm
Hi Peter,

In the last versions of your Software I sometimes get the following errors during playback:

"Out of memory.....if you have 2 GB of internal memory, please notify the developer about your soundcard" I am using SPDIF signal from the on board sound card Realtec ALC883 HD Audio

When I am playing some music without a gap between two numbers I still got a break in the music! Gapless is checked.

I am using a Home Theater PC with a Infrared device and a display. I suppose that there are special adjustments necessary in the software to control XXHighEnd via a remote controle? Am I correct? Are there any plans in that direction?

When can we buy a activation-key? Any idee about the price?

Regards,

Johan

Mine configuration: Oris200/DX3 - Audion - PC/2GB/XP Pro /SPDIF - DDDAC1543

Hey Johan,

Can you please tell which Engine and OS you use, and whether you Double or Upsample (yeah, the last both logically follow from something, but that's exactly why I ask).

Also, it is good to know which version you used in which for sure this problem is contained (easiest for me would be to say 0.8b).

Thank you !
Peter

If everything turns out as I planned ... tomorrow.  :heat:
The price ? well, I would have one night to sleep on that ! :innocent:
Should be less than a new Tjoeb though ...

Hi Peter,

I am using engine#2 with double, Windows XP Pro.

Do I missed something......"Upsample" shown in a disabled colour!

Version 0.7h, 0.7i, 0.8a

Regards,

Johan

Johan, Upsampling is not possible for #2 as off yet. At some stage it will be though.
But you should really do that with #3 (which requires Vista).

Anyway, I will look into your problem.
Thank you,
Peter

Currently known issues : many.

[...]

Just play a bunch of tracks right after the startup of the player, there's not much wrong.
The only thing you might notice is that gapless playback is or not so gapless as intended, or even overlaps. This depends on the speed of reading the tracks from your harddisk or network, and the only thing I can say is that currently all anticipates on the speed of SATAII internal hdd reading, which still may vary from "yours". Eventually this will be okay.
