Title: Changing Wallpaper in attended mode playback
Post by: JohanZ on May 30, 2009, 09:01:41 pm
Hi Peter,

Why do You change the Wallpaper in attended mode? Better to keep the windows background I think!
Sometimes for testing purposes I want to play in attended mode.

Johan

I thought this was only working for unattended mode. 95 percent of the time I'm playing in unattended mode. I don't want to untick every time for attended mode this tickbox. I think this setting should only work for unattende mode.....i think?! What is the purpose to show this wallpaper in attended mode?

I'm not sure Johan ... :)
And I also thought it can't harm with the checkbox you have for it. But I guess I can make another checkbox "Unattended only" ?

I think I'll use this thread to ask for...
Peter,
If I don't have a "Back" .jpg, could I get a tic box to not have you generate a mirror image of the folder.jpg and display song titles?; just want it to show a front cover like was done before you added the back cover? ...don't ask me why, I don't want to look too crazy here ...

Yea, I think Johan was the first not to like it as how it is now. But I never got around to it. Obviously it is possible.

Hi Peter,

Could you reset the Wallpaper after unattended playback. Now I  need to close XX to get the Windows background to start e.g. Programs via Shortcuts.

I'll look into some improvement here.
You know about the small "I" button, right ?

Hi Peter. Don't know if JohanZ knows about the small "I" button, but I sure don't. Appreciate an explanation. Thanks.

I knows about the 'i'-button! But it's still difficult to recognise the shortcuts. And why to keep the background when the playback sessie is finished or stopped. (Pause remains the background)

Oh, this is nothing related to the Wallpaper, but the small "I" button on the main form brings back (or removes) the Desktop Icons. And you'd need those in the Attended Playback situation when playback stops but XXHighEnd stays, and all icons stay away in that situation.

But I'll change it.

Done, per an additional setting (next version).

Also done (also next version  :)).
In fact, when everything is gone, pressing Pause/Stop brings it back now.

:heat: It wasn't even easy, because of the so many combinations. :heat:

I think it is better now.

Does it work in 09y? What are the parameters?
Finishing after the last track in unattended mode, reset the wallpaper (back to windows)
In attended mode You don't have to change the wallpaper. You don't need it in attended mode!

I'm afraid I don't understand !
You did notice the new checkbox for that ? ... yes of course. So what goes wrong here ?

Thanks,
Peter

In version 09y-1 it's the same behaviour in unattended mode. After finishing the last track, you bring XX back on the screen. The background contains still the wallpaper. It needs a stop command to to reset this background. Better to reset the bachground automaticaly when you bring XX back to the screen.

Indeed in attended mode it works correct you can switch it off via that new parameter "Coverart: At attended".
