2  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Problems with the website and to download 2.11 on: August 03, 2022, 02:42:23 pm
Hi Peter, we haven't been in touch for a long time and I hope you are well.
After many months in which I have not used the music system, due to a personal situation but also because some parts of the computers were damaged, now I decided to start it up again with another computer.

I tried these last two days to access your website but it didnīt work. Now I try to download the last model 2.11 but there is no way.

Is there something wrong with the website? Could you help me please to get the 2.11

Best regards,
Juan

Hi Peter,

I am trying to change the number of cores to see the differences in sound. My music PC has a maximum of 12 cores (6+6) and, if for example I activate 8 cores (4+4), when I click play I see that the album is read by the 12 cores. When I return to the Boot Into... board to check how many cores are active it still say 8. Is it correct or is there some kind of error?

Regards,
Juan

Hi,

After a long time away from the forum, although not totally from the music, the forced confinement has seated me in the listening room more frequently.
To my surprise yesterday I found and installed the 2.11a new version. As always there is usually an improvement over the previous version and in my case it is clearly noticeable more detail and finesse. I canīt say more at this moment but I will closely follow the influence of the new possibilities, such as the change in the number of active cores.

Thanks once again Peter!

I wish you all the best
Juan

7  Ultimate Audio Playback / Your thoughts about the Sound Quality / Re: 2.10 sound quality on: August 03, 2018, 04:44:03 pm
Hi Bert,

By Music Server Pc I mean the Pc where I have all the music stored. It has an OS, a monitor and the SSD's with the music. From this Pc I control through remote desktop vía an Ethernet cable the other Pc (Audio Pc). This Audio Pc, once I have removed the ramdisk, has nothing but the memory, it has neither monitor nor graphic card.

Juan

Bert, I had the same problem with the RDC and the CredSSP policy and in the end I was unable to solve it. The solution, for the moment, has been to install again the OS (W10 Pro) on the Music Server. I have allowed the windows updates and so far I have no problems to connect the RDC.

Juan, great !
I hope that people stick up to 15:40 or at least start there or right before that when they get bored about the first piece.

Coincidentally I watched the first hour (of 3.5) of 8 days a week, 2 days ago.

Thank you Juan,
Peter

Thank you !

11  Ultimate Audio Playback / Phasure NOS1 DAC / Re: Phisolator & Lush on: May 31, 2018, 03:53:33 pm
Hi Mani, first impression here with my Audio Pc which is not a Stealh Pc.
The sound instead of clearer seems to be brighter without the Phisolator, therefore the Phisolator / Lush combination makes a sweeter sound (without losing clarity).
For now I prefer this combination although I will continue listening.

Hi Juan,

That's half of the answer to my questions.
And it is even hard to digest. Happy

Best regards,
Peter

Hi Peter,

The Windows Build in my Music Server Pc is 10586.164

About KMSAuto Net
I can't t tell you much more. I followed the advice of a computer technician friend of mine who has solved the problem with the remote desktop prolonging the life of the Windows Build 180 days more. That's what KMS Net does. I hope that nothing has broken on the Audio PC.

Best regards,
Juan

Hi Juan,

But do you also know how the problem was solved ?

Which Build do you have anyway (Music Server PC) ?
The obtrusive one should be 17134.48 (or smaller).

Regards,
Peter

Hi Peter, I used KMSAuto Net in the Audio Pc

When I stop the music there is a disconnection of the remote desktop

Juan,

So you're saying that you can play several tracks on the audio PC, all this time the remote connection is fine (you can change volume and such) and only when you press Stop the connection is lost ?
(seems hard to imagine)

Regards,
Peter

I'm not sure Peter, sorry, actually I thought it happened when I pressed Stop but now it's playing well and nothing unusual happens. I even turned off the remote desktop and it worked again when I reconnect it. I will try to observe it to see when it loses the connection, if it loses it again. For now, everything works fine. Have you investigate to know if it has to do with Windows activation?

Regards,
Juan
