Yes, I´m using W8 and sorry, I didn´t know it doesn´t show Wallpaper.


It happened a couple of times and I had not Phase Alignment activated.

Some problems:

- There is not Wallpaper at all when I play with OS Minimized and at Unattended with Show as Wallpaper and Show Back active, the only thing that shows (if I activate it) is the OSD and not always. I wonder if you have it off in your signature only for SQ reasons.

- Alt+S repeat the last notes before it stops totally.

- Alt+S sometimes turn off totally XXHE.

Peter thank you!, In fact I have a separated ring for the audio system although in my case it is impossible to have a completely separated earth because I live in a downtown apartment with a common earth for everybody. From my door to the interior of my home I have separated differential circuit breakers and cables only for my system. The only things I have connected to this circuit are the NOS1 and the amps, all of them with different circuit breakers. I have also connected to this circuit a power conditioner where is connected the Music PC, the external powered USB hub and the external USB hdd. I guess I could take out of this ring the power conditioner and those USB connections if this could help to better SQ. None of the home appliances or other computers are connected to the audio ring.
The problem could be the earth connection that is common to all.

Would you please let me know how to do it?. I´m not asking for the theory behind the Switching Supplies, only how and where ("everywhere") to do it.

Perhaps it requires more time than you have at this moment, in such a case I´d appreciate the help of someone else on this issue.

Right Peter, that's the reason I gave the headrest to my neighbor, she never gave me salt. It emphasized too the sound of the street, and they are in works.

Peter - Today I´ve installed XX in the W8 partition I had in the same hdd where I also have W7. I´m using exactly your W8 settings. All I can say so far is that it works, at this hour in the morning in Saturday I can´t play yet at normal volume level but the first impression is of a great sound. I´ll report after sometime about SQ, I know that I can´t experience the same as you due that you are using now a new XX version, but anyway so far it looks ok.

Hi Peter, I´m using W7 but I´ve made the changes you have done for W8 and my SQ improved notably. I had two hdd inside with music that were connected to SATA III, now none of these hdd are inside the computer and are connected to an USB 3.0 hub which is at the same time connected to a mb USB 3.0 port. The USB 3.0 hub is independently powered so it doesn´t take the power from the computer. The other change I´ve done, as you suggested, is to put the Playback drive inside the computer and connected to SATA III. Finally the Filter card remains where it was, filtering the TeckNet USB 3.0 PCIe card. Previously I had the Playback drive connected directly to the USB 3.0 TeckNet card where also was (and still is) connected the NOS1.
I don´t know about W8 but in W7 this changes made the best sound ever so far in my system, I´m now in the third day with this configuration and the SQ remains stable and sounding beautifully. The sound is clear, the soundstage firm and the bass tuneful, the final notes seem to never reach the end, they remain sounding lower and lower and lower until I can clearly hear where the sound stops. I don´t want to touch anything now, I wouldn´t like to touch it I mean, but...I suppose that the evolution will continue.

Well, I bought it today and the sound seems to be too in front and a little harsh but of course it needs some burning time so I´ll report again in about 100/200 hours haha!

If you don´t know about electronics nor about the mystery of PCIe cards, power supply rail cards, etc but still you want to improve the Sound Quality of your system you can always go to Ikea and buy for only 16€ the Beddinge headrest.
Do you think I´m kidding?, not at all. This "hi-fi device" makes the same effect as when you put your hands instinctively around your ears to listen with more attention, with a less pronounced effect of course, and being much less tired  . It acts also like if it had some kind of regulator to make the effect more or less pronounced, just move it up or down of your nape and you get the perfect level of detail you are looking for.

If you get it don´t forget to share your experience!
