No matter the angle I see things, I never have followed someone like what I am doing today, nor have I seen a community so nicely oriented towards a common goal. Somehow I can't explain the fact that there is no destructive irony like I see on other websites about Audio and just this is the most strange, but the most positive.

It took me a lot of trust to get into that journey, since I have always been a "distant" follower, but I am so happy to be part of "our" group !

And yes, there is a friendship that grew through time... That is also exceptional for me. I can only be grateful for this friendship that took place naturally.

I could add more thoughts, but the words cannot always convey the value we attach to people and what it brings into our lives.

Am I right to assume that the driver for the NOS1 (not the "a" version) needs to stay with the 1.03 driver ?

If so, do I need to rename an extension for another to allow the right driver to be used ?

In other words, what is the sequence I should follow to have the correct driver used (remove the 1.04, then install the 1.03)...

Yes it is. Since I missed the first delivery, I asked them to leave it at their delivery warehouse.

I should get two packages at the same time, since I ordered a "toaster" to allow me to swap drives a lot easier than to remove my OS drive from an external enclosure.

"toaster": a docking station to allow either 2.5 or 3.5 drives. Very handy Have USB 3 and Esata connections. I use Esata. I can also power it with linear power supply, even if I do not think it will be really important with RAM OS usage, but...

Since this is handled by the bios, if I leave it as is, maybe it will still be functional when I will start with my OS-ramdrive... I took a note to come back with this and report...

But I will read carefully all that is to be read before I try our new toy

I am not sure if this is related to me, but I have yet to get my OS-ramdrive since I missed the first delivery even if I got earlier home last Friday... I should get it this morning to close the case I should change the address to have something delivered at the office... Sorry !

Ha ha Gerard, you are funny I agree with you, but I suppose that sometimes Peter is is not convinced when he has to search for "a needle in a haystack" 

When I see the advantages of the shucko plugs (they do not get half the way out of the wall when the cable is heavy, they can also be inverted with ground still in contact), I wish we would have the same format here...

Or maybe have AC cables in wi-fi mode

When someone has a different motherboard and such, I suppose that the best thing to do is to boot with the base disk, with the OS version of choice and see what is required to have all working in Device Manager (no "!" mark) ? So when one will boot the next time and choose to go in RAM, it should reflect these adjustments.

Am I right in thinking this ?
Will all the adjustments (outside of XXHE settings) will also be written back on the disk and used when one will boot in RAM ? I suppose so... ?
