Your electricity room ??? I know you are joking Happy

Still it is true.
Is there something you find hard or complicated to manage ? It seems so clean, so in order... But this is a picture, so can't see the whole portrait...

But more seriously... When our electricity company changed our electricity meter for one that sends wirelessly the lecture of my consumption, I felt that something was better. I would not say that it is the wireless aspect, but just the counter. I mentionned it to my girlfriend, but each time I talk about my sound system or anything related, she suddenly feels the need to leave or have me talking about something else ?  teasing

But seriously, if someone is able to see an improvement for me ...

haha

As for the PCs et al... If I send a few pictures of my house inside, I am sure you will find your management very reassuring Wink

I am sure you would design blades that do not make noise Wink And the extra is that you will make your own flour Happy I imagine receiving my NOS1 converted to a NOS1a and smelling a nice muffin odor from the box Wink

367  Ultimate Audio Playback / Playback Tweaks and Source related subjects / Removing the metal top of the NOS1 ? on: July 30, 2014, 01:39:45 pm
Hi Peter,

I haven't tried this but I suppose that when you measure things, you need to do that with the NOS1 top open ?

Have you tried to compare the SQ resulting from a comparison between the NOS1 with the top removed and one that is not ?

I know this sounds weird. In fact I read a thread on CA this morning (about RFI isolation) and it reminded me of this little suggestion from someone a few years ago. At the time it did not seem valid for me, but maybe this morning, the rememberance of that suggestion jumped to my mind.

I guess that many factors will come to mind since RFI and EMI are important factors, but...

Thanks

368  Ultimate Audio Playback / Orelino / Orelo MKII Loudspeakers / Re: Mani's Orelo MkII speakers on: July 23, 2014, 08:43:44 pm
Hi Paul,

Yes it could be that the artist would not recognize the sound he intended... On the other hand, if he was to use speakers like the Orelos or Orelinos, do you imagine what would result in a "standard" speaker... The bass may get so overwhelming that it would take all the attention...

This is strange...

I suppose that each time (as you have proven Peter) a layer of noise that is removed allows lesser noise to be heard...

Even if the image is not really pertinent to all situations, I see something like "russian dolls" as a comparison...

I envy many of you, capable of discerning such minutes differences ! Happy I do hear some differences from time to time, but it happens more by accident than anything else and it is each time very tiny. Like Paul said about the differences in USB cables length, I am quite sure I would fail miserably with a blind test for most of what I have discovered. But I am fascinated by those abilities and I try to apply a few things here and there to improve on what I have.

Just to say "Thanks" for all of you that are sharing your discoveries !

Hi Mani, sorry if I made a mistake while typing... I meant "All OUR life"... The Orelos are in a different league and I can imagine that one needs to reset some references Happy

Hi Paul,

You asked Peter not to remove the Dexa clock from the NOS1 while being upgraded to the NOS1a ?

Hi Mani, it could be that all your life we have been used to hear distorted bass...

I remember talking with someone about vintage speakers for music of the seventies. It was only for fun, nothing serious about it. I was telling him that I was hearing so much saturation from the albums with the 24/96 hi res (Led Zep 1, 2 and 3)...
