Sadly no, I tried but my vista for some kind can't recorgnize my built in remote control. Or it is really damaged, I will open my laptop tomorrow. And I don't know if WinLIRC will find it or work with it, I will have to check the chip set and the connection to the mainboard.
Would be nice since everything is built in already and I've got a small remote control which worked with XP and PowerDVD I think.
I'll try tomorrow

Hi Ava. Good idea, very feaseable, and furthermore already in my mind. It sure will be in there.

As I see my self there are more annoying things. Pumping up the volume by more than 2 steps is one of them, and the 1-2 seonds quietness is another. At least the latter can be solved. Not so easy, but it can.

But first I am still struggeling with the 0.9w changes, because the new method of memory management still gives bugs here and there. I really first need to fix those (not because I can't do two things at one time, but because both will relate to eachother).

Keep on comin with the ideas !
Peter
Thank YOU!!! Didn't wanted to rush to you with the tiny pause of changing the volume/everything else, but in the back of my head.
Wow and with changing volume with more than 2 steps, ok could have thought about this (to me:why didn't I?) but since you can read minds, or are simply a genius at what you do for XX, can't decide which one it is, tend to the latter, nothing is lost. Happy

Ok when I can think of some other things you'll be the first to know, well second but...

Hi Peter,
just now I thought wouldn't it be nice to have a hotkey for next album in the playlist (e.g. ALT+A).
Because sometimes it's really annoying to go attended and switch to the next album in the playlist and press play.
I know there are many ways of playing music and I prefer loading lots of albums in the playlist and then just press ALT+N till I hit the next album. But since every Hotkey takes about 2 secs it's really annoying.

Wouldn't that be pretty simple? If not and you feel it causes just confusion with all the hotkeys just let it the way it is. Wink

Uh thank you! Didn't get to that!
Now it's working (or is not Grin)

Em, good one, have to think about this one.
But did you disable all windows sound (notifications, IE sounds etc)? And could that be reversed?
37  Ultimate Audio Playback / Playback Tweaks and Source related subjects / Shutting down Windows sounds on: February 05, 2009, 01:01:28 pm
So my questions to all of you who read this is, how do you stop Windows/Antivirus/website sounds making a mess of your precious music?
My concrete problem is, that I've got my headphone amplifier installed without a volume pot and that I wouldn't want getting my head blown off by some strange popups etc.
But when I shut down XXHE I want to use my Laptop as a normal can-do-all laptop with sounds and all.
Does anyone has any suggustions? Is it enough to just turn off the volume control in the task bar?

Greetz Ava

PS:thank you Peter and the Hotkeys are working all, this idea was superb!

As I can read it, your memory is running as DDR2-800.
As you can see there are 4 presets shown for the memory to work with (JEDEC #1, #2, #3 and EPP #1).
Your current applied voltage for the memory bank is probably 1,8V, so EPP #1 isn't available, because it would need 2,1V for the memory.
If you would raise the voltage for the memory banks to 2,1V the full DDR2-1066 would be available.

Yeah some photocoupler like AVM used in one of they're CD players, they lid the whole thing up in a red shine, nice.
Good idea.

I have one thing which is really bugs me, so I thought maybe it's a suggestion for newer XXHE versions:

In unattended, when you see your track playing in the wallpaper, my track names are most of the times too long for my screen (because I've got EAC configured so that it writes almost everything in the track names).
Wouldn't it be groovy to have the track name running till the end and then from beginning on again (is this possible without having the GUI on?)?
42  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: Volume control w6 on: January 06, 2009, 11:43:55 am
WOW, Peter!
If that'll work, genius!

btw:couldn't the data that EAC writes as a status report for every album be used for this, instead of testing every album for maximum volume? Since it (for each track) records the maximum level of volume?

Sad  . . . Cry will it work with hires files someday?

How will we be able to control the volume when there are so much more steps, with the slider? I suppose that's quite inaccurate, so we have to set our mouse wheels to single steps?

btw:is it normal/intended that the double/quad option doesn't work with 24Bit files?

Oh that's great.
I must say that I'm missing a step between V0 and V-6.
So are you still working on that?
