I happen to be a software engineer. And have some experience with programming for windows.
And I am sure that it all can be done. I personally implemented such things a while ago. You just need to consider all use cases and handle them correctly.
The real problem is that it is just time consuming. I understand that .

I would be nice to have:
When I start pressing keys when the library area is active it would start finding and autoscrolling to the albums sarting with those letters I type.
Like in windows explorer.
It would be in addition to search button functionality.

Now after a week listnening I have to admit that sb-2 with attended playback seems to color the sound a bit that's why I liked it better.
for the last week I listen to 0.9t-5 unattended (thread prio normal) and it sounds the best so far.
don't want any other version

Hi Peter,

When I launch XX while playing an album in unattended mode the playlist shows only remaining tracks, not showing the tracks that already has been played.
I think it should still display the whole playlist I have composed before hitting the play button for the first time and starting unattended playback.

Also the progress bar does not show current progress anymore when I restore XX (start it again while playing in attended mode)

Was it discussed already?

After a day long listening I came to conclusion that with unattended playback all versions sounds almost the same.

But the strange thing.
I like sb-2 in attended mode more than sb-2 and t-5 in unattended mode.

I still don't understand what can do such thing to sound as if phase inverted.

Q1 at -3 sounds as if sample feeding rate is too low so that some samples are lost = clicks and pops dropouts
Q1 at 30 sounds as if sample feeding rate is to high so that some samples are skipped ahead = like vynil record jumps forward

And at Q1 29 I can clearly hear inverted phase (invert is not checked). Drums sound funny on 'Tallica's "Kill'em All"
So I have to check the invert. And that bothers me a lot, that I have to mess with data.

Something is wrong here with Q1.

Now when you start XX it restores its last playlist, that's great.
But it does not remember the last played track and resets it always to the first track upon startup.
It would be great if it remebered the last track played and restored it after restart.

No, it was waiting for me here (away from home ). So It was impossibe to LAN connect them and activate.

Why you ask:
I am away from home. So all my activated versions are left at home. ...

0.9sb-2 is my favourite and sounds the best so far.
The instrument sounds are somewhat acoustically finished (pardon my french), It seems like there is something more in low level detail.
It makes me think that I know it is there instead of I can hear it.
A new (or long forgotten) sensation for me.

0.9t-0 sounds a little worse to me, than the previous one 0.9s-2.
Here are the settings I use in both of them:
- Vista ult;
- XX Demo;
- Engine 3;
- Q1-14 invert checked;
- priorities are set to nothing;

Sounds like it has gotten a bit muffled, a little less low volume details. Not good at audiophile terms .

What do you think?

Why does it not show all my album when I press search button. It shows only 101 album. Strange number. Why not 102? or 83?

What if I have music not in one root folder. For example 2 deifferent folders on 2 different drives.
Is there any easy way (not requiring computer science degree) to see them all in the library panel?

If you have your own definitions for terms like gallery and library differing from what MOST peaople are used to, could you please describe them in details somewhere.

I seem to be the only one to be confused with these magical settings of XX: Q1 and inverted phase.

Peter,
I could not find a good explanation of what Inverted phase and Q1 setting actually does,
Only common phrases about its influence on SQ.

One of my confusion is how inverting the phase would still be "bitperfect". You change the data when inverting the phase don't you?
I need to understand what is going on when I change some setiing.

And the main question is what is Q1 and how the h... can it lead to the inverted phase? That is the big mistery for me.

Please clarify.
