Yes it is happening at attended the same. I've sent 3 files with one track engaged at attended.
153  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: 2.08 Update questions on: September 25, 2017, 06:51:39 am
I deleted XXEngine3.exe and AutoHotkey.exe from 2.07. Installed 2.08 over the top 2.07 files then restored AutoHotkey.exe to XX folder. All works so far.

I have the same errors. Clicking away errors, it plays music. But errors come up everytime a music file/album is loaded. The music files have all permissions.

XXhighend 2.08 certainly more stable after Ram boot. But needs two boots from first start to get all working.

Sound is improved more than slightly!!!

"it is best to kill XXEngine3.exe and AutoHotkey.exe prior to the install."

Hi do you mean delete these from the main XX folder?

I see you haven't yet updated your current settings for XXhighend 2.08. Are these the same as for 2.07?

Hi Peter tried suggestions but didn't work.

But I solved it by deleting the 2 data lines(missing file path from Library files) from "LibraryData.txt" file in 2.xx folder.
Everything working perfectly now. Thanks.

Looking forward to 2.08.

157  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Message 76 re missing file path from Library on: September 01, 2017, 06:48:59 am
I did delete a music file probably at the wrong time. Everytime since I click on L button to load music library into Xxhigh a message comes up "76. Could not find a part of the path"

How can I delete this message please?

Not urgent but a pain. Perhaps when you return home from your holiday.

Looking great, but glass coffee table is great bright reflector of sound.

I know I had one and removed it under protest but we now live without coffee table replaced with smaller couch side tables of wood.

Anyway just a kind suggestion also would move the right leg rest couch(closest to RH speaker) in photo so couch ends are the same facing both speakers. I do realise its all a compromise(especially involving others) but after going to all the trouble of playing with these speakers well worth it. My partner so appreciates the good sound she goes along with most things(but not ALL!!!).

overly 'smoothing'/'rounding' effect on the sound

This is the effect I get with Filter engaged. Going back to AP I get more treble detail(especially cymbals) and bass, all round better sound. Moving from 120 SFS to 4 SFS is better and easier to hear. This is without the NOS.

Longer digital cables(over 1 metre) have often been quoted as sounding better going back 30 years.

I think Intona(and other devices) are very system dependant but I think it also has a similar effect as quoted above. Unfortunately it improves some aspects of the sound so I have it in my system. It comes down to your own audio morals whether you can live with it or without.

I think I have been the very first (and only one for a longer time) who ever back on CA expressed how lousy USB was (for all of the reasons people, now 8 years later start to find out and complain about)

Interesting comment. As it appears that current owners of some new Dacs much prefer I2s with HDMI.

USB certainly has spawned a number of devices to overcome USB issues/ re connections with computers, not with standing the "Intona" and now the "Phisolator".

I'm all for a better connection.

161  Ultimate Audio Playback / Phasure NOS1 DAC / Re: Highres music files sometimes don't play with XXHE and NOS1a on: March 30, 2017, 11:19:07 pm
Peter,
I do need to try different settings for SFS I did not think of trying 4.1 or 3.9. I did try 160 and this was interesting.

In terms of settings should I leave Q settings as they are and just try SFS?

Are there any other settings that have an influence on SFS?

Robert

My new SFS setting of 4 has mean't the return of these issues. Hires albums only playing 2 tracks and stopping with whole album loaded. Skipping mid tracks when playing a whole album 24/96/192 and whole album loaded. I have enlarged Ram for larger Hires albums.

I have put all my Bios settings back to default for max power. Has not made a difference. Core of 3-4 best sound.

I need to experiment with alternate SFS settings I guess. Any other suggestions welcome.

I'm not surprised I struggle with the Intona's affects. I currently have it back in the circuit. I will try your idea.

I have just reversed Clarixa cables so now the short one is between the Intona and Dac. This has changed the sound plus changed SFS to 4. Running with this for now.

I tried it on the weekend and it did make a difference in the sound. I then changed SFS back to 4 as Peter has suggested to try and it all seems better overall.

Has anybody tried putting the short Clairixa between Intona and Dac?

Some online suggesting short clean path between Intona and Dac is better.

Yes I have Intona back in the circuit. More benefits than negatives.
