Hi Peter no luck with new server loading Xxhighend same problem as laptop.

Gets to Open file security warning(Change wp.exe) I press run button and nothing happens.

When I click away a screen comes up with Initialization failed at Phase 121.

I got my new server today so forget laptop issues.
I will start from scratch with Xxhighend 2.00 on this new machine Saturday. Brand new so will need licenses. I presume does this mean two required?

I downloaded Xx2 unzipped into new folder within Xxhighend folder.

Clicked on xx.exe and it started installing. I clicked run on all install boxes except the very last security warning box, which nothing happened when I clicked run. I clicked out and then warning XXengine 3 did not start.
When I loaded Xx186a it acted as if it had been a new download.
Tried this several times. Should I delete the old Xx186a version then try to run new install?

No not using WiFi, in fact not using at all just bought on Monday. I downloaded your new version but it didn't load. Does it only work from remote from start? Perhaps my I3 laptop is not up to it? think perhaps I should wait for new I7 server. Probably need to read your instructions and digest.

I'm just about to launch with a Samsung tablet into the XXhighend remote  world. Can I not link directly with the main computer without using another computer inbetween. I have your USb dongles but never used. I'm not going for the ultimate in sound at this stage.

Not trying new XXhighend yet. Have a new server coming.

Peter would you recommend 6 cores over 4? I was looking at I7 4790 3.6Ghz LG 1150.

No you don't, working on other things well perhaps just tweak XXhighend a bit then I suspect go back to the AMPS. Thats your dream now!!!!

That would be nice the last update was a Christmas present.

Look I'm making a complaint. I'm very worried that xxhighend has slipped down the ladder of innovation due to, too many distractions on Peter's time, cables, NOS updates and now Leggo NOS DAC's.

Gosh I read on TCA yesterday Jplay has a new version out. I'm going to be tempted to try it, what if its better than Xxhighend?

 

I didn't find the bass too much. But there is certainly more bass information. I was tempted to buy the Lightspeed but struggled with the cost. The Clairixa seemed much better value for money judging by reports. I wanted to upgrade the USB cable as by all accounts it was worthwhile.
Thanks to Peter now he can get on with updating XXhighend.

Gosh got Clairixa today. Well everything is better. Less digital hash whatever that is. But when its less its better. Whole sound is better. $1 cable is cr*p as you would expect. Hearing things I never heard before, vocal harmony's standing out.

Gosh can I expect this sound to get better!!!!

Everything counts even if its digits!!! I'm amazed more havn't been positive. What are you listening for? I think some are not hearing the music!!!

Decent server or PC upgrade over my laptop.

Clairixa cable is still in transit to you so I won't be trying that out for a week or two.
