I know this is an old topic, but I wish to note something.

Since re engaging Garbage Collect which does improve sound this small error has come back but only on fresh boot into Ram OS and first playback audio files. After this the error does not appear again at all, no matter how many files I play.

I'm not sure if at initial turn on computer is lagging but then catches up once OS/xx settles and the problem disappears.

This has occured again on the weekend but hasn't been a problem since last noted here.

I stopped XX engine(blue button) and clicked out of XXhighend but kept Ram OS going. I restarted XX and everything has continued normally since.

So guess this has solved it until next time.

Yes I would dearly love to order one waiting for my fortune to arrive. I suspect this upgrade is massive and logical. In fact one should start at this point, the source has always been critical. I've priced the parts only, not including case, for 14/28 in New Zealand and they come to the price of Peter's completed, tested version. So Peter's pricing is certainly very competitive.

Interesting that progress on DAC technology globally appears to have stalled.

Peter
Fresh W10 installation has worked with XXhighend at last. I'd almost swear I have better sound with Netflix and Spotify. Getting Microsoft network to work was a pain to see Music file server. Anyway guess I will register so I can get the most out of it in reduced mode. Have to say Ram Os 2.10 is sounding amazing in contrast we have a long weekend for the Queens birthday. Listening to unplayed files since 2.10 upgrade and settings. Thanks.

It did trip with same SFS settings. One track was from a Bob Marley remastered ripped CD Kaya. The other from Peter Green The Best of ripped CD not remastered. I didn't think either were that dynamic being older recordings. Anyway I have left Crack Detect on. Thanks

Peter I have never had issues with this until now.

But odd tracks on albums throw this message up. They are from ripped CD's. I re ripped them but still Crack message. I see there is a Disable Crack button recommended for Engine 3,4. This does work when activated. Is this OK? I see you have been playing with Crack Detect in your latest Mach III post. I don't know anything about Crack Detect which is why I'm cautious.

Peter,
I will say the W10 in this disc is standard but I have turned off unwanted Win Apps in the Win settings window only as per normal user. Also the UAC slider is set to lowest I have not turned it off. The W10 was cloned from another disc but has worked perfectly since. Should I do a fresh installation?

There isn't any detail information (via a button) on the message possible

Not that I can find. May be quicker for you to have a look with Teamview in the next week when it suits. Not tonight for me.

Yes I unblocked exe files and all application files. Same warning no installation. This computer is on nearly all the time so picks up W10 latest builds.

Peter I get the same message, no install. I tried it with UAC on and off. Windows defender apps are off except for Firewall & Network protection. The internet feed is from my music server which does have Windows defender fully on.
I do have all unnecessary/unwanted W10 applications turned off on this disc drive.

I just realised I can't send you a log file from Xxhighend as I can't get it installed.

Peter, yes I will send you that log file tomorrow.

Interesting Miska of HQplayer has been saying recently he has been concerned by the number of W10 updates which must be creating issues for his software. The last update wiped out my bridged ethernet connection with Music server(Has current W10). Keeping locked into 1 version of W10 is a great advantage for XXh.

The updates are weekly and some major for W10. Everyone complains in our neck of the woods(Mostly people not into audio).

Hi I downloaded XXh to C driver folder. I do run windows defender on this computer and UAC shut off as normal. This is not a dedicated audio computer. I have Net 3.5 working. Then hit XXh.exe and a hot key is setup then the warning message comes up without changing anything in this computer. I havn't loaded XXh into an OS since Ram OS.

As XXh is designed to run in a unique protected environment which is the best for listening. Its not worth the trouble to make it do anything less I guess.

Thanks for replies nik.d and Ramesh and the Net 3.5 was all correct. UAC is off. I get this message on the screen.

I tried to add message photo to this message but this wouldn't work either.
