But still don't listen to HDCDs if you are used to QAP !! (you may have missed it, but it is a bug that HDCDs don't upsample).

Anyway, good that it helps. And you heard it pretty quick ! (as you should)

There is a hdcd led somewhere?
It's funny because i'm listening to one of the HDCD albums courtesy of Roy and i'm loving the sound (using QAP on the computer where i always use it).
243  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Play closes the gui on: May 28, 2010, 03:18:56 pm
Since this morning on my studio pc this is happening.
It's like the revenge of the unattended that i never use, ha!

any idea how to fix?

I cleaned the playlist (there's a button for it? cant find), loaded a new album, hit play, and the guy disappeared. sound coming and i bet it will play all.
LOL

 Wink

Edit: nevermind: i had selected the "unattended" button (no tooltip to guide me).

There is an unregister command, but i dont remember the syntax.
246  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: 0.9z No ToolTips on: May 27, 2010, 05:02:37 pm
PS: If you activate the Info Area (with the small button at the top in the right), and when you try hard, the text will appear in there. Once one "did it" another one may too. It *is* all there, but its hard to squeeze it out.

Yep, but in the next version can you make them faster too? Happy Both the tooltips and the text display in help area.

Yes, but you will have to get a new code from Peter.

I believe he can use the old one, if he has saved it somewhere. I mean, one code works for one pc.

Telstar,

In the pane were you see the play and stop buttons, right under button in that pane is gallery button.

I found it, but it took me a good read of the release notes to understand Happy

Please, Peter add tooltip and help entries for all buttons.
250  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: new GUI! on: May 26, 2010, 12:59:33 pm
Load is the one pointing down. I don't see a button to go to currently playing playlist.

Doh, that one has the led always on and if i click it duplicates the track in the playlist (while playing).

Adaptive Mode needs a higher Buffer size than before.

Not for me, the same worked (but there is a big difference between 768 and 1024, so the requirements may have changed but 1024 still covers it). Will check on the main system after a bugfix release is out Happy

All this below has been fixed by just disabling the log!
Only the playback of a track is somewhat slower (20-30% tops), and i can live with that.

Hey Telstar,

Quote from: Telstar
The gui takes 3s to load compared to <1s.

Yes, I can imagine something like that. Not 100%, because in the before situation it wasn't under a second on my system, while today it indeed may come down to 3 seconds.
Personally I don't think this is a big deal, because you don't do this often. And very important : this doesn't happen this slow at Unattended and Remote Commands.

Moreover, the library is behaving slowly and weirdly like when you first introduced KS.

I know what you mean, but I'm afraid I can't do anything with it because as far as I can remember you always had the problem, and me myself and I dedicated it to you (to the sense of : couldn't interpret the problem well, caused it yourself etc. etc.), while at the same time I don't think I ever heard you solved it. ... Which is what you now imply.

Yes, the problem went away in the third relase after KS was introduced. Now it went away after disabling the logs! The library is snappier than ever. Happy

In either case I don't recognize it, but I sure hope you read the Release Notes - about the scrollbar issues.

I did Happy

I am sure it sounds better, at least in my system.

Now i'm sure too. Did an a/b too.
The distortion is much lower, I feel wanting to raise the volume, which is always a positive thing in my book. 1024 samples as well. It's good that the same exact settings work with just... better SQ Happy

Found the culpit on sluggyness.
IT IS THE LOG ACTIVITIES

Thnx Gerard good

Ohhh! Gotta remove it and try right now Happy
UI isnt sluggish anymore now.

But the playback still start a bit later than with the previous version.
i put a single track (using explorer, since i couldnt find the gallery), clicked on play button and waited 3s instead of about 2s.

Adaptive sounds... wonderful. Better than before?

I think so. Need to listen more.
