Thank you for your efforts on this Andrey. Really nice.
Maybe it is not clear for everybody what to do when what "error" appears, and I think for me also will count that when I just apply the file without knowing the history of this topic (the manual settings) I wouldn't know what manual settings to go to. A bit of a stupid situation you can't help of course.
I sure won't require anything else from you, but what if each error would show a link somehow to the manual setting in this topic ?
Or, because a clickable link won't work, maybe a reference to the subject/picture concerned, like : RegHack04.png.

If you have the data in uncompressed form (not in a form which has to be converted which would mean WAV only) then the upcoming version will help out.
Otherwise there is not much to do other than upgrade the wireless for speed if possible (up to 108Mbs (or maybe more) is possible, but the hdd probably won't deal with that).

Don, right now I can only give you this, and I expect your problem to be in the same area : http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=299.msg1988#msg1988
Don't get confused with other WASAPI players which will allow you to play not bitperfectly (hence Shared Mode) unless the player states explicitly it won't and do Exclusive Mode only (like XX does).

I myself get more and more confused about what is and what is not running at your side, and I had swoarn that per your before post all worked. Now in your last post all seems so be working but for Engine#3, which to me tells that exactly nothing is working.
Then you ran a DAC test and tell what does NOT work, instead of telling what does work.

I don't think I am suitable for this job. swoon
Happy
Please show me a DAC test and mention the situation (DAC) accordingly (didn't I ask this twice already ?).

But the Off-Ramp/Timbre combo supports 44.1k @ 24 bits in test from the control panel works with those values.

This test runs in Shared Mode.

Hot tip : don't use the OffRamp for just passing through SPDIF.
And now I think of it ... I don't understand something else ... you cannot be passing through 24 bits over USB (which is what you are doing I think) unless the USB standard is not used, or not used in a normal fashion anyway. Never mind, don't use the OffRamp.

I am at loss as to what to ask.

I sure can understand that. But we'll try !

When you try something and compare with other players, please use Foobar WASAPI because I trust that for Exclusive Mode (unless it was changed the last few months). If it works there, it should work with XX, although currently I have one example where I can't get it going where Foobar can.

Lastly for now, when you ask a question, please mention the environmental situation again (which DAC it is about).
When something is working, the same.
You know what you aim for and your heart is full of it, but I can't see that, and I can only draw (wrong) conclusions otherwise.

Don't bother with Engine#1 or #2. It's only confusing, and you wouldn't want that anyway.

Well, that was a lot of unhelpful text ... yes

Hi Don,

So you have made quite some proceedings !
Is there anything I can do right now ? It feels that you have a question, but I don't see it. Happy

And some more ...

Yep, it's working allright now. You can imagine that I thought I am not the only phool. Or the other way around.
At first I was laughing silently, then outloud. too much !

I was sure I had made a picture of a pile of some 200 meters (really) of unused cables I removed from the stereo some 18 months ago. Couldn't find it. But I bumped into this :

Found the problem. It is solved in the next version.

You can post them here if you like ...

Can you somehow see any difference with your work PC ? For instance, is it a single core processor ?

If not, would you be so kind to try it in a fresh XX folder ? (if you not already did)

I tried both with checked and unchecked "During conversion"

Yeah, I tried every combination of some relevance, but just can't let it go wrong. The only thing I cannot test is the single core, and that is relevant too.

You really must help me on this one. I really can't copy it. I feel that it is related to that one track being there, but of course I tried that too.

Do you have "Start Engine3 during conversion" ticked ?
13946  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: Errors with flac on: October 21, 2008, 03:17:53 pm
Hmm ... But do you get this each and every time ? If not, do you see a pattern ?
I never saw this ...

By now I kind of could have written them, hahaha

No I didn't see those presentations, but the software (of this Mark) would not work.
This is kind of logic to me, because the Even Driven feature (at least from SP0) does not work.
Few people asked questions about it back then (end of 2006) and nobody got answers.

This approach seems the right one to use

Why do you ask ? the 1ms latency is not enough for you ? Happy

Actually I feel (and should I think) this is related to the subject of this topic. But I don't see how ... dntknw
Do you think I may be doing something wrong ? can improve maybe ?
?
13949  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: Errors with flac on: October 21, 2008, 01:40:26 pm
Whoops. That is not Engine#3 is it ?
Windows2000 even ?

I never tested it outside of Engine#3 ...
13950  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: W1 does not play. on: October 21, 2008, 01:36:21 pm
Russ,

Yesterday I noticed the same myself. Not really "wrong" as such, but merely not updated.
I will look into that.
