It does work once Yes ticked despite errors.

Robert, what so you mean "despite errors" ?
Or do you mean despite the orange screen you showed ?

Anyway, I don't know and never saw it. Probably it is related to the Windows version you use on the Music Server PC (although intuitively you may think that it is your Mach III).

The advice to work without Password (if you could delete that in the first place) ... not sure whether I can agree with that. First off, no problems "with" whatsoever, secondly without password some things definitely won't work.

And Robert, you might re-attempt with a readable picture, if possible.

Best regards,
Peter

Did you try a Lush^3 or for that matter a Lush^2, instead of the stock short cable? In the USB chain I see that short cable as the possible weak link. What is your stand on this?

Hi Michael,

With each USB cable we have, we tried the exact same internally in the DAC (there too is a show piece of (real) USB cable). It exactly never worked out (sounds bad) ...
Why ? a mystery.

Maybe in two cases I heard of the short USB cable implying a problem. But this is merely a combination with the Phisolator than with the USB cable sec.
Of course you are free to try to replace the short piece with an other cable (try your upcoming Lush^3 for fun) - it won't be to long or anything.

If you have results at some stage, please don't hesitate to share it.

Kind regards,
Peter

Hi Michael,

It could be a good idea to wonder what you are doing "wrong". Why ? because there is nothing wrong with Unattended or anything. What surely *is* wrong, is that you always play Attended. XXHighEnd is not really made for that, and to name something, it could relate to losing a Network connection, depending on further settings (hard to work out for me).
It seems that you foremost must investigate why you lose your connection with Unattended. Happy (I hope I understood that correctly)

We must both realize that by now you changed all the "procedures" possible, probably because somewhere one small thing is applied wrongly. What this is, is hard to tell.

I have also nice news for you :
If you play Attendedly,, you will literally "burn" your Mach III because it runs too hot in that mode when continuously At this time done. I don't recall whether you have sudden shut downs (music stops playing) but if so, you can bet the system shuts down because it runs out of juice (this can be because of the heat).

Your Network won't work out of the box with the fresh copy because it is not fresh at all (yes, I am repeating myself). That copy was not made from your OS or else it would have been as large to begin with. It is a general copy for a general OS and everybody receives that copy (counts for each of the OSes in there). But I think you understood that. Only please grasp the relation with the network settings.

I have sent you a procedure to "expand" the small OS file. I hope that is OK for you (and that it is better than sending you something). Your network still won't work - that is up to you (but set that up in Normal OS - The Troubleshooter will normally let it work). And in case you did not expect it ... your drive mappings also must be made again.

I hope this helps ?

All,

Can anyone tell me when it was the last time the Playlists worked ?
For myself it must have been more than a year ago, so I can't tell.

Thanks,
Peter

i hope it is an easy fix!

No, it is not at all.
They changed things in such a fashion that I can't see through what *I* need to do to get it working again. This is all related to how Tidal at first messed up with all sorts of anomalies in there, and how I had to tweak all sorts of things to get it working. Notice that Playlist were not available really to the "API" back at the time, and that only a year or so (?) ago the Tidal app itself could show the individual underlaying albums, while XXHighEnd could do that from about the introduction of Playlists.
It seems that they now corrected all the anomalies they put in themselves, without any documentation on the how or what.

The worst is that normally a programmer (me) could look in old parts of the code to see what he/she did wrong since the introduction of feature / version XYZ - hence what was changed. But in this case the change is external and there is no "relative" code in order. It just fails (at the call of the web/API of them).

After a lot of hoopla I managed to retrieve the Playlist again, but the means of obtaining the tracks in there has changed too and I just can't het hold of the way how to do it (mind you, from within my own environment which is quite "huge").

It could be the end of Tidal Playlists ...

Hi Erwin,

I am afraid you are right - it does not work any more; Something must have changed on Tidal's end ...

I will look into it.
Kind regards, welcome and thanks !

224  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: CoverartPath is Empty - Check Coverart error on: December 28, 2020, 03:13:20 pm

This appeared to be caused by a wrong structure (for XXHighEnd) of the folder of concern.
Thus, solved ...
225  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: CoverartPath is Empty - Check Coverart error on: December 28, 2020, 09:07:37 am

Hey George !

Could this be dependent on the album you try to play there ?
(sorry for the possible dumb question, but I really need to know this first)
Hence, other albums which played before, now don't ?

Did you perhaps change something recently regarding the showing or not of Coverart ?

Best regards,
Peter
