I read from your signature you're using adaptive mode?
I was unhappy with the latest sound and tried some settings only to make it worse. Set it back but seems it remembers some settings untill you restart or reboot.
But the big difference was setting adaptive to special!
Now i can listen for long times and stay very happy.
Curious what this setting does for others.

Just had a short check. The needle still gets out of the groove at the end but much more subtle.
Because I didn't get an email with the activationcode I decided to save it before using the new one. Still an email-bug?

I still use z7-1 and there PA works below -9dB like yours does now. In my idea this is like it is supposed to.

I had the crack too at the end of playing.
Not a crack but a couple of explosions!
Just wondering if it was my transformer in the HongKong-Dac, or the tube in my preamp, or the capacitor in there or the Gainclones...
Then I changed Q1 from 1 to 15 and what remains is a short crack like removing the needle from a record.
Before it was more like pushing the needled over the record and turning the volume up.
So maybe not that much usefull, but I think it is in XXHE the solution has to be found.
And at least now I can enjoy XXHE in company of my family/friends.

I got the plops too at the end, really loud!!!!
This happened after I changed buffer from 4096 to 1024, SFS from 60 to 2 , Mixed, rest default.
The sound is really amazing, more inner detail, like you can hear easily if it is Whitney singing or an imposterer.
(Not that I tried this )
But those plops at the end need to go, so what is the  directions we have to go to get them out? Higher Buffer, SFS, Q, Qfaktor(what's that?) or? More memory, faster processor?

I did a reboot and asked for a new activationcode.
Guess the reboot is necessary to get some information from the PC?

After a restart the wallpaper has a red top and bottom.

BTW, the wallpaper defaultsize is to big at 600.
I get an error about height has to be lower then parameter (guess this is width?) Confusing message and setting!

Maybe should be a seperate topic but I guess you have a good bugadministration system.

Finally got it to work in KS.
Control panel-> Sound->Play->Hiface->Properties
There was a fourth tab where it said 44kHz maximum, after changing this to 192kHz 32 bit it worked.
But now the tab has disappeared.....
Who changed that setting? Not me!

Problem still exists on z7, engine3 plays, engine4 does not.
