Peter,

I follow the following steps:
.Boot up to minimized OS
.Load 1 HDCD track
.Play the track to the end in  Attended mode
.Click Play to replay the track  ====> Error

Same happens if I Stop the track in the middle and Play again.

I get this message in the following situation.
I start a HDCD track. I stop playing the track. I start the track again.
It only occurs when I have HDCD decoding activated.

I have been there before myself more than once.
From your symptoms I bet you did not follow EXACTLY(step by step) the activation procedure. Just do it again.

it could very well be a silent lead-in of the track, I don't know.

When I apply "After SFS Round = 1", the start of the artefact has been postponed - but it has not disappeared. It remains there during the play of the track, including the silent lead-out of the track (or whatever happens at the and).
As I said, it's volume is at pretty low level, but audible depending on the kind of music. Could this be the price we have to pay for playing with PA engaged? Or can you let it disappear?

Peter,
when I start playing with PA engaged, I perceive a very high frequency tone. This tone is very low volume and very high frequency, and it starts about 1 second before the music. After the music has stopped playing, the tone fades out after about 2 seconds.
Of course the tone can be heard much better when you put yourself close to the loudspeakers, but once you know how it sounds, you can easily hear it fom the listening position.

Is this something you recognise? Or am I the only one?

may I add a little experience from myself.
When I play with my preamp removed from the audiochain, the (positive) effect with 09-z7 and PA engaged is much bigger than without PA.
Furthermore, playing in Normal OS is horrible with 09-z7 and PA engaged.

thank you, the problem is solved by going back to a restore point and starting all over with 0.9-z7-3.
Sorry for bothering you, I could have found this solution myself.
The mystery remains why this happened.

I cannot go into Minimized Mode for 09-z7-3.
Activation (using the same code as 09-z7-2) seems successful (Red borders).
Or do you think I need a new Activation Code to go into Minimized Mode?

For the first time I perceived PA. First impression is that it has less energy focus on bass. And very clean mids/highs. I am aware that it will take me some time to get used to the new sound . And I can say more when I play Minimized (as I always do) after this problem here has been resolved.

Hi Paul,
I also spend the Saturdaynight with XXHE/PA. Same experience here, even if I am currently using a temporary amp+preamp (blocking DC). I ordered a pair(+) of Gainclones, including caps. I expect these to be delivered by Bert soon.

your Picture "Proof of activation" is exactly the same as what I had yesterday.
However, believe it or not: my XXHE was NOT activated!
So I can tell you: it is very well possible that your XXHE is NOT activated.

So, the solution starts with you accepting the possibility that your XXHE is actually NOT activated.

My solution was to Request a new activation code through PayPal and exactly follow the instructions as described in the manual.

Hi Paul,
how can you be sure that your activation has been completed correctly? Only the red artwork frame.

I thought mine was ok, but it wasn't, despite the message "done"!
After getting a new activation code through PayPal and activating again with this new code (in normal OS mode, not minimized), everything worked fine.
Just give it a try!
