Hi Eric,
So what you are saying is that in
\Dvorak\Dvorak - Piano Trio's\
only the first \Dvorak\ needs the adjustment ?
Correct. And it is no problem to expand the folder. I suppose clicking on the + to expand the folder is no problem ? And what happens when the folder is expanded and then you click on one of the album folders like \Dvorak - Piano Trio's\ ? I suppose that will go as wrong ?
Correct again. (2x) Now something interesting happened after expanding the folder: the problem disappears. It looks like I first have to expand to have XXHE find the path !? Cheers, Eric

Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / What's in a name?

Peter, I have a folder called Dvořák. In the folder I have put several albums (folders) like Dvořák - Piano Trio's etcetera. Now if I click on the Dvořák folder in the embedded Explorer, instead of seeing the Dvořák albums in the middle pane, I get an error message: could not find part of the path.
I solved the problem by renaming (and recreating the corresponding Galleries) the Dvořák folder to: Dvorák. And everything works fine. Please note that the Dvořák - Piano Trio's Album still has the "ř" character in it without causing any problem.
Would it be possible to have XXHE supporting Dvořák ? But if not, I can live with Dvorák.
Cheers, Eric

Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / How to get back to OS?
|

Peter, I am having a problem to get back to normal OS. When I untick "minimize OS", the screen goes dark and after a few seconds XXHE appears again but is now not reacting anymore. I have to use taskmanager to close it but then I am still stuck with the minimized OS. BTW it used to work properly so the problem was probably caused by me not being patient enough and closing XXHE in the middle of a proces.
How can I recover (besides reinstalling Windows)? Cheers, Eric

Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / XXEngine3 message

Peter, after starting up my PC and starting XXHE, the following message appears:
XXEngine3 werkt niet meer. Er wordt naar een oplossing gezocht.
After a few seconds, the message disappears and the startup sequence continues. Everything runs fine from that point. When I close XXHE and start again: no message. Only after rebooting, the message is there (once).
Cheers and thanks! Eric

XXHE clearly distinguishes between folder names that contain at least one "-" character True. Although that would be " - " (so, spaces around it). It's the generally appreciated separation between Artist Name and Album Name. So that's how it's applied. So how do you plan do deal with a folder named: Beethoven - Symphonies 4 & 5 - Hogwood, Academy Of Ancient Music (1987) ? Cheers, Eric

Ok, here is the original topic about that dot thing : 0.9y-4 Bug in showing folder in Library area. I really don't know anymore whether I ever solved - or tried to solve this, but since I don't recall it, we better think not. But now I have a problem with recreating this. I have the feeling that you (both) are not telling it all. If the last 4 characters in the name of an album contains a dot ".", the artwork shown in the Library area is not right. This is what you originally said Eric. Well, whatever I do (ask for vol.1 in the text box at the bottom), all appears correctly. Vol.2 too btw. The no.1 example won't work here, because I don't seem to have anything ending with that. Are you sure you are still talking about how this shows in the Library Area ? Or is it about creating Galleries from this ? And oh, I am *looking* at Gallery results (maybe that's why I don't see it ?) ... but all of the other (Originals) is tedious ... Also, at least Russ seems to imply this is about how a "Box set" structure is setup. But I don't do it that way ... or maybe sometimes, but few sonatas here. Help ! Peter, no worries, this one you have solved. I was just wondering if the DOT-bug in Gallery creation has a similar cause. Eric
