Ultimate Audio Playback / Phasure NOS1 DAC / Re: The cheapest upgrade : B'ASS

Hi Peter,
About the volume control, is it remote controlled? The input - output selection is manual?
About the input - output selection I am not so sure what it means. I my case the NOS1a output will be on the BNC inputs. From there I can select or the BNC outputs (on the back) to the amplifiers or headphone 6.5 mm jack (on the front) for my headphone. So I can switch between those two outputs, and both will to use the higher path for best SQ? Or just one of them?
Next I could also connect via RCA my TV and switch again to the amplifiers or headphone but via the lesser path with volume control.
Is that how it will work?
The design looks great!
About the title, is it still the cheapest upgrade?
Regards, Arjan

Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: Albums pausing

Hi, The connection was not the issue in my case for the album playback. It gave me ticks during playback and sometimes losing the RDP connection. It seems that my connection is not 1Gbit all the time, with 100Mbit (setting of the card) it is stable. The ticks came from automatic reconnecting of music server to audio pc all the time during playback. (bad 5e cable I think)
Lowering the Q1 from 14 to 4 did the trick for me to get continuous playback of an album. And SQ is still fine!

Hi Anthony,
Just my 2ct. I had similar issues. It was solved by lowering the Q1. Also my connection between music server and audio pc had to be lowered to 100mbit. But I think Q1 did the trick for me. I can now lower sfs to 0.07 without issues. Regards.

Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd PC / Re: CPU Fan

Hi, I also have only one fan for the cpu. It is powered by a separate lineair psu at 7V. At one time I forgot to power up the lineair psu, so the fan was not running. After about 1/2 hour or less the music started to stutter...... Cpu to hot. I started the fan and temperature went down. Music was fine again. And this is with MinOS. So yes the fan is needed. Peter, Is it possible for you to determine the right length of the short blaxius when positioned Nos1a and B'ass next to each other?
Else, where are the in- and outputs on the B'ass are positioned? With that knowledge I could figure out the needed length.

Hi Peter,
Yes, the point is that currently the Nos1a is just in the middle between the amplifiers. With the blaxius exactly at the right length. So to me it seems that the B'ass will be in the middle now replacing the Nos1a with the Nos1a left or right from it. So they will be positioned next to each other.
So will the 50cm enough to do that? I hope you understand what I mean.

Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: Tidal download issue (resources.wimpmusic.com error)

Hi Peter,
Yes it is repeatable. When it goes wrong it goes wrong all the time. Attached the error in the English version. It goes wrong for every album, all the time on that PC.
I have 2 pc's that I can use for Tidal downloads. The music-pc which is Windows 7. This gives me most of the time this issue, error attached is coming from that pc as it is today. It has also worked fine, so not always errors, but most of the time it does. I also have a windows 8.1 laptop and that gave me no errors until yesterday. But today it is fine again.
As long as one of the pc are okay I have a workaround. But when yesterday the laptop also gave issues I started worrying.

Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Tidal download issue (resources.wimpmusic.com error)

Hi Peter,
Sometimes I have an issue when downloading Flac files from Tidal. I get the an error message (see attachment), when clicking OK the download will go on. But it seems to time out somewhere because it cost much more time.
In the end the tracks are okay and will play but images are not downloaded.
Is something wrong at my side?
regards, Arjan
