181  Ultimate Audio Playback / Playback Tweaks and Source related subjects / Enable HPET for 'Time Performance Index' on: December 23, 2013, 04:41:09 pm
In XTweak section of XXHE I got 'Time Performance Index': N/A.

From Web search I found 'Command Prompt' instruction to enable HPET:- bcdedit /set useplatformclock true

after reboot and XXHE XTweak refresh I now get:-
'Time Performance Index': Optimal

This worked in W7 even though I do not have HPET option in BIOS.

Yes that was it, I've put Q5 to 0 and OK now

Thanks
183  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / high cpu load during play on: December 18, 2013, 09:17:28 am
Started XXHE this morning and it was slow to respond. Checked with Task Mgr and found that XXengine3 was continuously using more than 50% cpu during play. Stopped play and cpu load dropped to very low %, no other processes were using high cpu %.
Same problem after a reboot.

I've done this check before with my current configuration and XXengine3 was only using about 2% cpu during play.
