I have many, many meters of the original (green) Blaxius interconnects.  Can I use these to make shorter RCA interconnects? Any issues to keep in mind?

A quick note to wish everyone on this forum all goodness in the soon to be year ahead.  I've been organizing the house after Christmas, including audio gear.  It's quite a revelation to see how the journey with Phasure has evolved.  There is absolutely no one else out there that offers nearly the kind of model Peter has--constant upgrades and innovation, and the best price/performance products on the market.  Correction: the best products at any price.  Special gratitude to Peter and family.  It's been quite a year of transition for me from running a company on the NYSE to getting back to entrepreneurial projects.  The forum is quiet these days, so I hope everyone is well.

Just found a note from Bert.  The pair marked with a red sleeve are for the outer terminal, which are the connectors for the mid-range

Just reassembled the Orelo speakers after some work on the house.  Now I cannot remember how the BMS drivers are wired.  There are two pairs of wires coming out of the woofer section to wire the horns.  One pair has a red sleeve to mark this pair.  Does the pair with the red sleeve go to the outer terminals on the BMS driver or the inner terminals.  I have the pair going to the outer terminals but do not want to try until I can confirm.  Also are the outer terminals the mid-range, and the inner ones the tweeter?

In an attempt to make streaming tolerable, I tested the idea of adding ambient reflections using the Yamaha Natural Sound DSP--in my case the DSP-100u. 

I found it has a very positive effect on musical enjoyment of streamed audio.  The effect is somewhat dependent on the recording, but I have found that in the worst case it does nothing.  It adds a certain spaciousness and air to the listening experience.  These qualities seem to be there by default listening to XXHE/NOS1, but without this addition streaming is very tiring.  There is something the ambient reverberation adds that is very positive.

Confirming that the SQ from streaming is TERRIBLE relative to XXHE/NOS1.  Wow!  Just when I think streaming "is sounding good" and then switch back to XXHE/NOS1, I am reminded again of what we have here as playback.  Hoping we can someone find a way to prepare files again to play via XXHE.

It's quite depressing listening to Tidal or Qobuz streamed after getting used to XXHE/NOS1. 

I've tried various "tweaks", including getting the switch you mentioned. I'm using the music server (original XXHE PC) as the streamer.  Desktop apps to stream.  The music is nice, especially Qobuz 24/96 files.  But the moment I switch back to XXHE/NOS1, I get quite depressed having to listen to streams on the Tidal or Qobuz app.

I've been working on the HT setup using the Orelo Mk II speakers as front L and R.  The chain I have is:

Roku Ultra -> HDFury Vertex2 box (connected via Phasure HDMI^2 cable)
Vertex2 4K out to LG 4K TV
Vertex2 HDMI audio out to Classe SSP-800 AV processor HDMI in
Vertex2 SPDIF out to SSP-800 Coax input

Classe SSP-800 analog front L and R to Benchmark AHB2 amp (Phasure XLR^2 cables)
Benchmark AHB2 to Orelo speakers external amp input

I use this setup to stream movies and music with Tidal.  The frustration with streaming Tidal this way is that although it sounds very good, it pales in comparison to the setup using Mach III as source and NOS1 as DAC.

BUT, the HDMI^2 cable and the XLR^2 cables make a very big difference.  Tidal streaming is improved considerably, and even video quality is improved with the HDMI^2 cable.

The Phasure cables are really, in my view, the best cables out there!

Just set up the music server machine with XXHE for tidal preparation.  Activated XXHE.  Tidal login returns a "Fail" alert box.  Like everyone, I'm hoping this can be resolved.  Preparing Tidal files was a huge, huge feature.

Just tried a few times to download the 2.11a RAR file for a full install using the link.  I get a timeout message saying stordiau.nl cannot be reached.  Not sure if there is an issue on my side.  Just a quick check to see if anyone else has had a problem with downloading.  Thanks to all.

Ever since the "Oracle" path was introduced in Windows, RDC sometimes has authentication problems if the client and server are not both updated with the security patches.  I've had this happen before when trying to connect to machines running older versions of Windows.  I'm guessing with audio PC running minimized OS, there might be issues with some machines establishing an RDC connection.  Just guessing.

I recently upgraded the music server I am running (the original XXHE PC, which by the way makes a GREAT music server) from Windows 8 to Windows 10 Pro.  I immediately ran into the CredSSP authentication error when trying RDC to audio PC (Mach III).

Sharing the fix, in case others run into the same issue.

- On the music server (the RDC client) run gpedit.msc
- Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Credentials Delegation
- In Credentials Delegation you'll see a configuration for "Oracle Remediation Policy".  After my install of Windows 10, this was set to "not configured"
- Change policy to "Enabled" and select Protection Level to "Vulnerable" in the drop down.

Worked for me after this fix.

Has anyone tried the Phasure audio footers, for the NOS1, and potentially other components as well?  I've just order several to try with the NOS1, amps (for HT), and the Mach III.  I have some stillpoints (Ultra mini) and will try them together and individually.  Will report back.

The Roberto configuration for Lush^3 is definitely a find.  I want to confirm that the B side W-G is with the White on the jumper with the red dot, and the green on the one next to it.  Is that correct? Is there a photograph of the configuration on the forum?
