One question on the HDMI^2 cable.  Can this be used to connect to an A/V processor, or are so me of the pins not connected, so this can only be used for i2s transmission?

Just saw there is one!! Wow!  There’s been no discussion on results or experience with this cable. I will be trying it.

Rediscovered the joy of music again, as I said after working non-stop for many years especially the last two.  So I have some questions on further optimizing the Phasure setup, and would be grateful for any thoughts suggestions.

- I would like to be able to keep the Stealth III and music server (original XXHE) further apart from the NOS1 DAC mostly for aesthetic reasons.  Is there a limit for the Lush^3 cable length that should be kept in mind.  I see 200 cm as max length on the website.  Is 300 cm feasible without degrading SQ?  The alternative would be a longer ET^3 cable between Stealth and music server. 
- I use the Orelo for both 2-channel (with NOS1/Mach III) and as L and R speakers for home theater and music streaming.  Currently, I have a separate DAC/amp path for HT/streaming (Classe SSP -800 + Bryston amps) and use the external speaker inputs on the Orelos.  This is quite convenient as I can use the input switch on the Orelo to toggle between the two setups.  The downside is SQ, especially for music streaming, but only in comparison to the 2-channel SQ. Are there others using NOS1 or Orelo for music streaming (without preparing files)?  Would you be able to share setup and thoughts?
- I'm also interested in any thoughts on optimal placement of the Orelos.  They seem quite resilient to placement.  Presently, they are very close to the side walls (20 cm), and about 1m from back (front) wall.  Very little toe-in.  Wall behind speakers is a bookshelf filled with books (that are actually read).  No sound treatment of any kind side or behind the speakers.  There is plenty of open space behind the listening position, and so essentially non-reflective.
- Anything else that others here have done to optimize setup of the NOS1 and Orelos? 

From the peace and quiet on this forum, I'm guessing there is a level of happiness on setup within this community.  My questions are not from restlessness as much as from a rediscovery of listening to music again.

It's been quiet on this forum.  Maybe it was the pandemic, or I wonder sometimes if it's just how good the Phasure system has become.  Anyway, after two years of madness running a company listed on the NYSE, I am back to being an entrepreneur again, and listening (and playing) music.

I was so mesmerized by listening to the system without rushing around, I had to write and thank Peter and everyone here for what we have collectively--a truly amazing playback system.  My system is all Phasure, with the latest version of everything including cable configuration and XXHE settings.  I'll get around to updating my signature. 

Hoping everyone on this forum is well and for peace and prosperity world over.

I sometimes had this problem on titles with special characters.  You can try a test by renaming the file without any special characters (difficult with Swedish and Norwegian).  Give it a try--change the title to something simple and see if it plays.

Have you tried rebooting the Phasure DAC?  Sometimes if you reboot the Mach III, you need to reboot the DAC to make sure the device is recognized.

For many years I used an active analog crossover after the DAC with ten channels of amps driving the Linkwitz LX521 4-way speakers.  The setup with Orelo is considerably better--especially with dynamics and resolution.  The LX521 did image very well. 

What Mani seems to be suggesting is the active cross-over ahead of the DAC which makes more sense than after.  I have not found the passive cross-overs in the Orelos to be a limiting factor on SQ.  And the SQ, especially after Lush^3 is quite amazing.

I tried the new set up, and I was STUNNED! This is like it was going from Mach II to Mach III.  Absolutely mesmerizing.  The realism is unbelievable.  I am to shocked to even try to dissect what's going on.  Impossible to believe that a jumper change, and Q settings can do this.

I have to listen to a lot more music.  Initial impressions are that the sound is completely addictive.  Unbelievable clarity, resolution, separation, and coherence.  And really "alive", the opposite of clinical.

More listening ahead this weekend.

One request on any fixes to Tidal integration on XXHE if at all possible. The option to log out and log in.  I've run into the old issue of not connecting.  The fix right now is to delete the TidalSession.dat file.  But doing that and restarting XXHE does not always prompt a new log in.

OK, this is probably going nowhere, but I'll try.

I need to somehow be able to get two outputs from the NOS1.  In my case this is a BNC 75 ohm output.  One output will go to the Orelos as they do now.  The second output is to experiment with adding some reverberation injection on rear speakers.  Any suggestions on the best way to do this with minimal degradation of SQ from the Orelos?

- BNC Y splitter?

Would welcome any thoughts.

This new configuration is really spectacular!  I cannot really compare with "before" because after Lush^3 I felt the SQ really was at a new level.  The following observations.

- Extreme clarity.  We keep speaking about a veil being removed.  However one says it, there is extreme clarity to the music with no harsh or etched sound.  A natural clarity from no distortion;
- Extreme resolution.  I can hear details that I may have not noticed before.  Listening to Charles Lloyd's "The Water is Wide" right now, and there are many subtleties I notice;
- Improved imaging.  The Orelos completely disappear.  This is one area where I felt that the old setup I had with the Linkwitz LX521 was a bit better, in making the speakers completely disappear.  No longer.
- True timbre of instruments.  guitars, piano, percussion, etc.

And no fatigue.  More after tackling some orchestral pieces.

Been listening and working for a few hours now.  This is probably the most "natural" the system has sounded.  Dynamic, resolved, no harshness, easy, light and substantial all together.  More than ever, the music remains--which of course is the whole goal. 

Back listening to music after having been away for a while.  Just started listening with the new Lush^3 configuration B: WY (removed the red).  New Q settings per Peter's latest.  Also Blaxius 2.5 with BG on both ends.  Sounds very nice.  Will listen some more, especially orchestral music and post again.
