Thnx SeVeRed,

you are fast too! , Haha

I had problems with the gallery too,
Now using Folders with Artists\album\multiple FLAC's.
And for 2CD abums using (CD1) and (CD2) before name creation in EAC and put in same folder.

Check my new thread

Peter, how is the overall speed performance with SSD?

Using xxhe, as in loading audio files and pictures and to get in unattended and
restore services and stuff like that.

And how behaves Vista on SSD compares to normal HDD.
Does it speed up certain things!
Just curious what your experiences are!

Can you control xxhe with PDA with WiFi and remote desktop.
What is else is outhere!
That will not set me back like, 1200 euros!
(bluetooth keyboard on coffeetable, hmm)

See myself sitting (in near future, hope so) in the middle of the room with a small device in my hand that
controls my (audio dedicated or HTPC) pc and ofcourse xxhe by a small and gentle touch on the illuminated screen.

Music starts to play! Overwhelmed by sound quality, enjoying my own music-Database. sounds good !

TV or screen can be turned of, if wished

suggestions are welcome! yes

and Peter sets his specs back at Q1/2/3/4/5 = 4/30/30/0/0 (must be that left ear) haha

Whatever I tried I liked Q1/2/3/4/5 = 4/30/30/0/0 the most !
0/0/0/0 is simply to much dynamics for me, like it for 10 minutes then always go back to 30/30/0/0.
But the dynamics are amazing!

to receive I2S from soundcard

696  Ultimate Audio Playback / Music Storage and convenient playback / Re: soundcard question on: April 06, 2009, 02:10:06 pm
thnx TELSTAR,

very, very nice card, now were talking

I2S is also possible on the cs8420cs isn't?? or am i confused with AES/EBU

Is there a big difference in sound I2S vs SPdif ?

The length of the cable becomes less importent ,right!

Thanx JohanZ,
Very nice card,
Im looking in to it.

And what if money isn't 'n issue!! for this poor man

I'm building a dac with a CS8420-cs receiver chip
If I am right most soundcards have a clock-freq of 24.576 Mhz
so is my dac.
I wan't to link soundcard with dac with a xclock from tentlabs.

hello,

can I put a pci-e creative x-fi card(normally in the green pci-e slot)
in a normal pci slot (like the RED one i marked)

Motherboard Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS4

Soundcard CREATIVE SOUNDBLASTER X-FI TITANIUM FATAL1TY PCI-e

so I create more air and space for videocard

Thanx roy

I'm using plextor for 8 years I think.
First I had the PX-716 but broke down within 2 years.
But i had waranty and they provided me with a PX-760 IMO best drive ever (gigarec, autostrategy)

And really great service (as it should be).
but please use TY (Taiyo Yuden) discs with a certain(dont have the data here) media code  for burning.
I would really recemmnd this drive especcialy combined with TY discs.
The sound  is more relaxing in higher ends of the music comparing to other discs
If you can get a hand on a PX-760/755 buy it!!!
They don't make them anymore.

Sinds 8 weeks usings vista ultimate and my ripping speed went from X4 to X1.2
What thats all about ?????????????

On XP I used Plextools most of the times.
Before plextools i used EAC.
I have to setup EAC again
I read this topic and a lot of other theads.
Its seems I get more questions then answers here.
About cache, C2, errors etc.

btw is this going to help

For those of you with a Plextor drive, I highly recommend trying the '-usefua' command. This will essentially by-pass your drive's cache and speed things up massively.

And need a little help to apply this - MANI innocent

What i mean by this is that the industy has big problem become hugh.
Everyday i stumble upon (CD, HD-Movies,Games,DVD,Software)
And I dont talk about dodgy cam rips from your local theater or mp3
I am talking about Full HD 1080p, Dts 1536kbps Movies in several Lanq, plextor eac rips,
When internet becomes that fast
So does spreading it
703  Ultimate Audio Playback / Playback Tweaks and Source related subjects / Re: The Future of Music ? on: April 03, 2009, 01:32:38 pm
But even when we can.

I would still be illegal.

Copyright has to be paid eventually
Artists got to be paid.

But this is exactly what i mean by this topic
The industry will always come with another solution.
There has to be a point that you buy a file and the right to use is.
It doesnt have to be on a disc or another medium to verfify that i own the album

The more you think about it !!
this area is becoming very gray on this subject.
if you know what i mean

704  Ultimate Audio Playback / Playback Tweaks and Source related subjects / Re: The Future of Music ? on: April 03, 2009, 01:14:43 pm
That would be nice if i had access to your 12.000 cd DB Grin

And it saves over-all back-up space.

I am indeed very happy with my internet connection here.
But have the feeling i am not using its full capacity.
from leechers i get 30 gig+ per hour
and still using internet like nothings wrong.
Thx 2 onsneteindhoven

No peter its going exactly in the right direction ok

I had this conversation with a friend of my a couple of weeks ago
(who lives nearby and also has optical 100 MB)
That it theory would be possible to play my files on his audio-system
But you just confirmed it can.
