I could not start XXHE 10856.0 again

Yes, but this was a second time, of at least not being able to start XXHighEnd.
True ?

Did the message "stopped working" or something, show exactly the same as the first time ?

Hello Peter
After the reboot and copying I shut off defender before I started XXHE, so then it was no problem, I did not try starting XXHE before that.

And about the first "stopped working" Message: It showed "stopped working" the first time I tried to start XXHE, after that there was something flashing on the screen, when trying to start XXHE, I suppose it was the same Message but I could not see because it disapeared to fast, and nothing more happened
XXHE did not start.

I had then shut down defender.
Rebooted with the Windows startbutton, but XXHE did not start, just the same flashing "Message".

It happened in the base Version, but it was no problem before I booted into min-os. After booted into min-os, I could not start XXHE. I knew about the active defender problem. and checked defender. defender was not shut of, I used Your prosedure the turn it of, but I could not start XXHE (still in min-os).
Then I reboted Windows from the start button, and booted into the 10565 Version, and copied the 10856 Version. and deleted the old one. Booted into the New copy of 10856 Version and checked defender, and shut it off. Then rebooted into min-os, and everything was ok.

There are two green stickers With no markings

And now I just tested With the short Clarixa on the DAC-side. It Works fine, With no ticks at all.
I have not "upgraded" to RAM-OS yet.

Now in RAM-OS With the short Clarixa on the dac side and no errors.

I could not start XXHE 10856.0 again, so I just copied it, and deleted the old one. I don`know if that was right way to do it. But it seemed easiest to me at that point.
Had not much time lately, so mabe I should read some more instructions later.
Anyway - It Works well now. and the sound is outstanding.

I just ran into a problem With RAM-OS. everything went fine until I rebooted into min-os in Version 10856.0. then XXHE would not start. Got an error Message about XXHE.exe could not start- serching for a problem............
Then I checked win-defender, witch was running.
Had to copy and reset, Shut off Defender and booted into min-os. and everything is ok now.

Hi Arnt,

So I registered something wrongly or something *is* wrong. But it is a bit tough to find out now for me.
At this moment 4 have not arrived at customers yet and you are not in that list. Maybe it is no big deal for you to forward me your last UPS email (so I know your tracking number and can follow myself). But if all is right that email shows that it arrived ? (otherwise clearly my bad).

Otherwise thank you for the explanation.

First off, thank you for sharing, bbbut ... it is not so clear to me what your conclusion and final setup is.
Also, you have the short Clairixa and seem to avoid mentioning that you used that together with your long one.

Is it possible to briefly tell it in a somewhat better fashion ?

Sorry for that, I saw i now that this could be misunderstood.
Conclution is that I continued playing With The Entreq usb to the NOS1a from the Intona, and the long Clarixa from PC to Intona. And did nothing more, after a while, just listening to different Music, the distortion was gone, and has been away since.
The reason I did not mention the short Clarixa, is because It has not arrived yet.

I Have tried all of the mentioned scenarioes, with supra,  entreq and a common usb cable, on one side, and clarixa on the other side. Switched cables from and to DAC and pc-side. I had the same distortion as you. But I gave up trying. Switching between cables and adjusting sfs value. I played with sfs 0,06 and 4 ms.   and I have no distortion anymore.

In these years I have joined this forum and all the developing, through NOS1 and XXHighEnd, I have listened to this album once a "Upgrade". And it sounds great every time always.

In my situation it was about a Power outage, after that the stops was back, I disabled the hyberfil, and rebooted. Then evrything was ok.
But there was some work on the Powerline, and there was Power outage several times. and the same happened.
This happens only when the PC is shut of by Power button or Power outage. Normally reboot, or shut off does not affect it, rhe everything Works fine after a New start.
