Peter,

You talked about a usb stick instead of a HDD before.
Would that also be possible? Would make it a lot easyer in my setup.  Happy

Gerard, not after each reboot, but after each startup of XXHighEnd ...

But this is so for "years" ...
Did something change, apart from that it now shows "W8/W10 :" (instead of "W8 :" only) ?

Apparently something must be confusing ...

Peter

Ah ok... Thought it would stay Stable after Refresh. Always used W7 before W10 apeard.

Hi Colin,

I just looked, and possibly you are not 100% correct on what you say vs what you see. I mean :

When you start up XXHighEnd and go into settings, if it were for me it *always* shows "Use Refresh" before it shows a value in that same place of where the "Use Refresh" shows (which in my case is "Not Stable" because I chose for that - so just saying : that works too, the Not Stabe).

My point is, it would be quite hard to miss that "Use Refresh" and something like "no value displayed" does not exist in my book.

Orrrrrr ?

Peter

PS: The Refresh facility is only there because it takes some time to collect this data for showing it, so I don't collect it automatically.

I reconise something in his question. After every reboot you have too Use refresh first before Stable is showed. I liked to ask that also.

Is that a normal procedure Peter?

Hi Gerard,

I can't tell but I am pretty sure there is because W10 itself sounds quite charachteristic (don't you agree ?). So that character, which is mainly in the highs for the more explicit sound did not change with the RAM version (I am not sure it got emphasized, but it merely is about the "presentation" which changed.

I must admit that I should test this with W8 just the same, but it takes quite a lot of time to set up a first OS like this (opposite to cloning a disk for a second). But I like W10 better anyway ...

Peter

Peter,

I wonder with this OS on Ramdisk is there still difference between W8 and W10?
