I did not try it, but maybe if you put the UAC somewhat higher (and reboot) the Start Menu starts working again. But only try this if you need it for some reason because when you start XXHighEnd it will be reverted to the lowest level again and apps (including the Start Menu) won't work.

UAC you can reach by Start-RightClick (if that works Wink) - Configuration - User Accounts - User Account Control (at the bottom).

Search I have never seen working.

The thing is I cant reach UAC anymore. Right click on start button does not work anymore and i cant type it in the search field. Keybord works but no text will show up.  unhappy

Gerard, can you post that ? No problems with that being "illegal" because it is not.

Anyway I never saw any field with a code. Or maybe some screen passed by while I wasn't watching ?

I would like and i tried. But going back to normal OS mode the start button does not react. In the search field (UAC) Typing something does not work. The audio device (right Under) Stay's red.

So something is not quit right when going back to normal OS mode.

You said that the code wont work. But if i remember correct i have seen yesterday that there already is a code in the system info. A different one though.

This morning i installed Imdisk (somehow it was not easy) and i have played many many cd's without any problem. No hickups or strange stops!!!!

Never heard such purity!! Piano sounds so unbelievable real.  Shocked wacko

So much more detail and the bass is so deep. Playing at lower levels is so much fun. All the detail that you stil can hear.

Could not wish for anything more....

Everything works and sound just great. What is the need of installing drivers? The drivers for the USB cards and the drivers which came with the MB.

Is it possible to make a screenshot of that whole (related) section ? Not that I don't trust you, but the combination as you explain it is not possible so now I need to see it with my own eyes.

Gerard, be careful that now you are not suffering from that Time Bar syndrom. So by all means : shut off the "As Time Bar" (Running Time OSD) in Settings.
That too I saw and that too I can not mimic anymore (plus I am using it all the time).

No I have dont do anything with coverart on. So thats not it.

No I did not forget the second time. That is why it is strange.

Playing now in Minimized. Unminimized played without any problems. Minimised i get some hickups. And everything reacts real slow. Meaning Starting XX needed 3 min to get everything ready (colors ed.)

I will try the other HHD later.

(I have the CPU at 32) For the moment

Most beautiful sound though....
