and a restore point could not be made because of this. Sorry Gerard, because of what ? Maybe write it in Dutch ? Regards, Peter De foto die ik laat zien is in normal mode. (Ik weet het lijkt op minimize mode maar dat is het niet. Het rode streepje onstaat meteen als ik op minimize druk.) Als ik op minimize druk dan vraagt hij of ik een restore point wil maken. Ik druk op ja en dan wil hij geen restore point maken omdat Virtual disk service is not running??? De allereerste keer (dus after install W8) deed hij het wel. Dus Virtiual disk mode is na unminimize niet weer aangezet? sorry beetje moe....  |

Peter,
After installing W8 a restore point with minimize could be made. But i have gone back to original state.
I like to go back to minimise mode now and a restore point could not be made because of this.

I am getting those stops regularly. Sometimes with every track. Sadly until now i cant boot in a situation where these stops do not apear.
Love the sound of though....

Hum... Allow me  I rarely listen to many songs at a time, but yesterday I decided to put 4-5 songs and play unattended. XXHE was activated (red title, red border cover art, no UNDEMO). That was checked after the stop happened. It happened once. After I played series of 3 songs with a little higher Q1 (14) and all seemed fine. When it happened, I had: Q1 = 6, Q1x = 1, SFS = 12, Xtweaks OFF, the rest equal to my sig... Alain Hey Alain, Was it a stop or also the freez after hitting a button on xx? |

But before you think this is XXHighEnd or the OS ... I don't think so. Didn't you say this was about setting your CPU's frequency too low ?  Yes first i thought is was but now i have it at 3.6 GHZ. So that could not be it. With the previous i had it with a too low balanced load setting.  And since i do not hear anybody else about this. |

Nothing to be seen in the log files. But if you have your logging on it can be the reason within itself (way too large).

Neh just have set it on for the logs... Maybe a fresh W7 just to be sure. Music stops in the middle of a track. Thanx anyway... |

Peter, With the previous version i talked about that the pc sometime's stops en freezes. That got better when i set the balanced load higher. From 43 to 60. Now with this version i still have the stops. What happens is this. XX stops playing and i still can get the mouse moving around. But when i hit a button like STOP or another the pc freez. And a reboot is needed. I have entered the log's maybe you can see something. PC at 3.4 GHZ and 38\40 degrees |

2.2 is a bit to low i think.. PC suddenly freezes. Are you trying to get it as low as possible ? I would make it as high as possibe ! (while heat remains OK) I recall that you must swap tabs (screens) to refresh the reported frequency. And otherwise versions matter (don't ask me what I use here). Hey Peter, No no not as low as possible. I am raising it at the moment. Temps stay very low. around 35 40 at 3.00 GHZ. Are you sure about what you said in the release note's? Important notice to users of the "XXHighEnd PC" : they 100% for sure will need to do that OR rev up the fans in there.
Otherwise any PC will be able to cope with the Ultimate setting, BUT, the fans will rev up to intolerable noise.Grtz |
