Indeed after enable HPET in te BIOS everything works fine! Really fine that is!!!!

But I think the ToolTip already suggests that ?

This is not working. Meaning Tooltips for Time Performance Index.

I have had those little ticks with Z5 to (SFS 2). Setting SFS to 12 helped. Did not have the time to really play with 9Z-8a.

318  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / HPET Timer and Time Performance Index on: December 26, 2012, 01:19:45 pm
Peter,

Does HPET timer have to be enabled again in the bios in order to get Time Performance Index working?

I just can't set TPI to Optimal. It just reboot but after that it is not changed to Optimal.

most of the times I have to kill the XXENGINE3 to allow the music to play.

This i have too. Not at start but after some play time. i must use the the button to kill Engine 3

Hi Gerard,

Is this related to the SOtM card ? I mean, I don't think you have one. Or ?

Anyway, can't it be so that in your case you use an actually too high SFS ? Notice that I find 370 max to be reliable. Not higher (for 0.9z-7 that is).

Regards,
Peter

Peter,

Sorry no i have not a SOtM card. I use a SFS 10 at the moment.

Could it be possible to connect the Engine3 button to the stop button? So that Engine3 is alway's killed.

Hey Bert - Now I know what the title of this post is really about "Anyone Needing Support" well lets face it most of us here do (my wife tells me I do!!!) of the psychological kind.

Just maybe it is time for an "away day" to Holland (again). I can just imagine the conversation now:

Better half - "Darling where are you going?"
Me - "Holland my dearest one"
Better half - "Why are you going to Holland?"
Me - "To listen to a pair of speakers"
Better half - **stunned silence **

It may take some working on but I think I could swing it.

How about it Mani?

P

Then better not come over to my place... I tweaked them a bit more to suit my room conditions plus some other tweaks not applied before (there was not enough time!) and changed the crossover settings for a better tonal balance.

BTW, no need for a big room at all.  Happy

These are not the same speakers as you've heard them at the show...  whistle

Bert

Well maybe i will ( If you have the time) Really really wanted to take a good listen.

The size really  Happy

I'm having problems getting any sound out of the NOS1 with HQPlayer. Weirdly, a test tone in W7's 'Manage Audio Devices' plays perfectly out of the NOS1.

I have the device in the NOS1's USB panel set to 'Stereo' (not 4.0) and the relevant switch on the NOS1 in the correct 'up' position.

It could well be a configuration issue with HQPlayer. Everything seems to be working fine - the track details show and the timer runs exactly as it should, but there's no sound out of the NOS1. It's strange because the HQPlayer/NOS1 combo used to work fine 6-9 months ago. But I guess a lot has changed since then with HQPlayer (and maybe the NOS1 driver too?). I'll contact Jussi at some point and see if he has any thoughts.

Mani.

Mani,

Maybe try to set XX first to 16\44 and play a song for a few seconds. After that try again.

Just a wild guess
