That's exactly what I get. I've given up, removed the card and gone back to the Audiophile which is happy to send 24 bits at 92kbits/sec to my Buffalo24. It does sound very good - I was just hoping I could try the 4x upsampling on offer now.
Thanks Guys. Peter, if you ever do get the 0404 to play nice, please let us know and how!

I like to say though that in the Xp day's it did work. Since Vista nope.... Thanx for this.... Does make my feeling about this dac a bit better. (Meaning maybe not my knowlegde about the Emu) Good luck...  |

Mark,
I would set "DAC Is" to 24/96, start with "DAC Needs" at 32 and when that doesn't work "DAC Needs" to 24.
When those both settings don't work set the DAC Needs to 32 again and start digging in the diver interface.
I coincidentally have one myself (PCI), but never got it working because of that stupid driver program. Someone in here, however, did, but I don't recall who it was (Gerard ?). So I hope he will jump in. ... ah, he just did. So that is a 1212. Hmm ...

I get this when i set it to 192. I was playing for it a few day's ago since the ARC upsampling... Did not like it that i to can't play this. The specs of this Emu tells otherwise. |

Hi
Is this DAC a known issue with XXHighEnd? I have tried to get this soundcard working on mmy Vista PC (SP1). I have the latest soundcard drivers, it works with iTunes and Sonar 6 etc. But no matter how I set the DAC settings I get an error with XXHE (any of the several versions I have tried). It says "DAC Unablle to accept this byte sequence...) Then it shows me a small window with something like 2|44100|16|176000 which I would guess is 2 channels, 44.1khz etc.
Using an MAudio Audiophile 2496 card, I have no issues, but I believe the Emu card supports upto 192khz which would be nice for quad upsampling Arc Prediction.
Anyone got this card working?

Hi Mark, I to have a Emu. (1212m) And not being able to set it to 192. The only thing it will play is 16 44.1. In the settings area you will have to set it to 44.1. And also in xx you must set it to 16/44.1. I have tried many many setting but it will not play when i set XX to 24/192 and the Emu on 192. Than i get the same error and sometime's in a different setting than 16/44.1 it gives a strange sound. I am waiting until some special DAC is ready so i will leave it at 16/44.1. With that i am very happy at the moment. Grtz |

This is solved for the next version (0.9y-4), including some additionals indicating what you're actually about to delete.
Also, when it is detected that the number of files is unrealistically high (like over 25 for the album concerned), there's an additional message about that.
 Do you mean by this that make a copy of the MP3's and delete them afterwards work? Grtz |

See http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=925.0The delete functionality (see picture below) was created to carefully delete physical (original) albums from disk. However, this functionality has not been created for working with "checkboxes" (see "Chk" at the bottom with the Library Area active), but "manages" to call the actual delete function anyway. Some spectacular further coincidences next traverses up the folder structure 2 levels, and right after that the structure concerned is deleted. This happened to Gerard, and of course I am the most sorry about this. What remains unclear is why Gerard never saw the screen which confirms the deletion, and which is needed to even perform the deletion (see 2nd screen copy below). On the other hand, since this "Chk" and Delete functionality acted as a loose running train, I always blame me for it. DON'T USE THIS FUNCTION until it is confirmed it can again (and then still ...  ) Peter Peter, I am most sorry  That one i saw..... I forgot.... I clicked delete to that question.... Nou, ik heb het net heeel voorzichtig nagedaan (nadat ik het werkelijk command wat de zooi weggooit toch even had weggesterd), maar dit is wat er gebeurt :
Ik selekteer - via de chechboxes dus - 2 albums. Vervolgens wordt 1 niveau HOGER geselekteerd. Jaja, dat kan dus de root zijn ...
Alleen, hoe ik het ook wend of keer, daarna toont onderstaand schermpje dat niveau hoger (in mijn geval dus G:\MP3\PS), en als ik nu op Delete click zal alles wel weg zijn ... (default is skip, dus per ongeluk Enter kan eigenlijk ook niet).
Goed, dat heb ik ook nog even gedaan, en vervolgens gaat de boel nòg een niveau hoger de deur uit !! In mijn geval dus G:\MP3.
Jammer ...
Ik weet niet wat ik zeggen moet, behalve dat je dat schermpje (zie onder) toch echt had moeten krijgen.
Ik begrijp dat je gelukkig een backup hebt ...
Alles maar even samengevat : Deleten via de Checkboxes is nooit gemaakt, maar doet per ongeluk wel wat, omdat als je rightclick doet op een Item, dit is geselekteerd en dus de funktie vanzelf wordt geaktiveerd (welke je ook kiest). Vervolgens klopt er geen bal van, omdat het selekteren via checkboxes (is gewoon MS funktionaliteit -> kan in Explorer ook als je het nog niet wist) heel anders loopt van binnen.
Ik zal het ook nog in het Engels samenvatten voor de rest ...
Gelukkig heb ik een backup inderdaad. ALs alles er weer opstaat zal ik het nog eens doen... Zal ik gelijk ook de errors posten die opkomen als ik de selectie wil kopieren. |

Nou lekker zeg ... Dus een funkionaliteit die ik *niet* heb gemaakt zou alles weggooien ?? toch knap. Maar niet leuk.Hoe zal ik dit eens testen hier ...  Er vooralsnog vanuitgaande dat het aan mij ligt ... sorry hoor !!! Maar toch even ... (want ik durf nu zelf even nauwelijk), toen je op die optie klikte kwam er helemaal NIETS naar voren van een vraag of zo ? om ze naar de prullebak te zetten, ipv permanent te verwijderen Ja natuurlijk, maar dat blijkt onmogelijk. D.w.z., ik heb dat geprobeerd zo te maken, en ofschoon de funktionaliteit bestaat (VB.NET) is er geen middel om a. in meerdere folders tegelijk te werken b. wat ik wel kan simuleren, maar niet kan worden teruggehaald naar die folders (dus, het zou 1 grote stapel worden waar je niets meer mee kan). Ik heb er nog aan gedacht om zelf een prullenbak te simuleren, maar dat werd me te moeilijk. En dus heb ik er maar voor gezorgd dat je zo goed mogelijk ziet wat je doet. Eh ... als je geen checkboxes gebruikt.   Er kwam inderdaad helemaal niets.... Als je het probeert na te doen zorg dan dat XX op de harde schijf staat die je muziek collectie bevat. Anders is je Windows gedeelte mischien wel weg. En mischien iets als knippen/plakken te maken. |

Is op D: nou echt alles weg behalve een stukje XX folder ? Nee dus, maar welke mappen zijn er nou nog ? Terzijde (misschien) Deleten via de Checkboxes is niet eens gemaakt (zoals er zo veel niet via de checkboxes werkt). Maar ik zal in elk geval eens kijken wat er dan eigenlijk gebeurt ... Voor de zekerheid, de optie die je beneden ziet is degene die je hebt gebruikt ? (ik heb mijn checkboxes maar even weggelaten  ) Hoi peter, Alles is weg op de D:\500 GB Behalve een deel van de xx folder. (Mischien omdat XX in gebruik was.) Ook in de Prullebak is deze niet te vinden. Dat is inderdaad degene die die ik gebruikt heb. Succes..... ;-) |

Uhm, Gerard, this looks serious enough to deal with in our normal dutch, while I must be able to do that anyway.
Anyway I don't see any normal way that would allow to delete everything without further notice. The coding is just not there !
So for your conveniency, start sending me an email in dutch. I don't know exactly about what ... maybe your current judgement about what happened to your drive D:, assuming that this is not where your music normally resides.
You can do it in here just the same if you like that better.

Hoi Peter, Ik weet niet wat ik er meer over kan zeggen maar op een paar mappen na is alles weg. De map met XX was voor een deel weg. Ik had het eerst niet door tot ik XX opnieuw wilde opstarten. Hij gaf toen aan dat deze in demo mode was. En een kijkje op de D: waar mijn collectie en de map van xx opstond gaf aan dat deze nagenoeg leeg was. De map met XX was voor een deel weg vandaar ook de demo mode die hij na deleting aangaf. Ik zou je graag een paar foto’s sturen maar voor mijn Backup er weer opstaat dat duurt even. En om het nog een keer te doen….. Haha… Voor jou ook niet echt leuk om proberen….. Ik wilde dus mijn mp3 collectie weg hebben van het goede spul….. Zoeken naar mp3 albums gaat bijna niet. Het grootste deel van mijn zoekactie eindigde in een zwart scherm. Soms lukte het toch om alleen mijn mp3 albums zichtbaar te krijgen. Dit deed ik door Mp3 in te toetsen onderdaan. Maar alles ik een keer copieeren lukte niet. Dit eindigde in een paar error meldingen. Ik wilde dus mijn mp3 deel eerst ergens op de C:\ wegzetten en daarna de geselecteerde Mp3 verwijderen met XX. Ik heb er toen eerst 16 geselecteerd door ze aan te vinken. Die 16 copieeren werkte goed. Maar toen ik daarna op delete drukte via rechtermuisknop Toen ging er iets niet goed. Zelfs geen melding of ik het zeker wist of iets…. Dus toen was alles weg. Grtz |

Peter, I have a problem..... :-( Ok i thought i could get rid of my mp3 albums that are mixed up with my WAV Collection. But i would like to keep them. So i thought that first make a Physical copy of them before delete them with xx. Searching for them results for 90% off the attempts in a black screen. Sometime's it gives the results, but than when i like to copy them XX stops after a few albums. So i thougt lets do it in steps. I checked the checkbox and checked the first 16 mp3 albums. Copy those worked. After that i thought delete them right away while the checked albums are already checked  But when i used the delete function not the 16 mp3 albums where deleted but my whole collection! In a eye blink it was gone) So two things do not go right. 1: The search option for searching does not work (here) 2: Deleting a selection results in a total delete of my collection. (strange thing also is that XXhighend now starts in Demo mode) No now i see that everything is gone on my D:drive.... Also the XX code grtz Gerard |

These will be released in september. As usual, consumer (1-2 year warranty) and enterprise version (5y warranty and higher MTBF). I have the chance of getting a stock of 20 (yes, twenty) of these drives, enterprise version, for a price that is probably 60% of MSRP (which means slightly more than a 1TB drive). I will take 4 or 6 pieces for me. If I find enough takers, I'll place the order in september. Beforehand, I will know the exact price (I'm not taking any margin). For obvious reasons payment must be in advance, i'm not bearing the risk. Post below name (or nick) and amount of drives that you would be interested in. [/quote i like to have 3. When its possible?
