You are right i had problems before. But learned from that and have goneback to Normal OS. Than tried so much to get it to work but noting.
PS2 mouse will work. Keyboard no.

I will try to reset my CMOS this week and see if i can get it to work.

But oh boy getting into bios to activate the mobo usb was difficult. PS/2 mouse and keyboard do not work..... I first had to reset the bios and boot without hdd attached. With hdd it was for me impossible to get into the bios. But this is another subject.

regards, Arjan

Ah you encounter problems too with the PS2. I think ill buy a new USB card with 4. So I can connect mouse, keyboard and HDD dock. Than the MB USB can turned off again. I also got in when I removed HDD-RAM.

I tried the mobo usb instead of silverstone with the short clairixa to intona and that works without errors and ticks. So for my setup also the Silverstone is part of the issue.

But I still prefer the Silverstone.... so back to cheap cable between pc and intona.

Gerard,

Is this originally with RDC ?

All I recognize from your story is that here too it can or will happen that I can not do anything with the BIOS etc. once I have been connected by RDC *ONLY* and then plug in the keuboard and all. Monitor then does not work as well. But a reboot with all stuff plugged in, solves it.
I don't think this is exactly your situation, but ...

Peter

Thanx for your advise... Can't get it the way I like.... So I have the keyboard trough USB.

Yes an usb. Nothing. Got back to base unminimised. Even then nothing. Removed hdd and that got me back in boot menu. PS 2 keyboard still does not work. Tried 2 different keyboards.

I would like to try to raise the CPU a bit. From 12 to 20. See what that does. Regarding errors. Just for fun.

Now lets see

Hi Gerard,

I'm afraid I don't understand the question.
Are you referring to the normal Windows boot menu ? ... that should just work. But you only have two seconds to access it (that time out is settable in the XXHighEnd Boot Menu - bottom-left).
Pressing down-arrow regularly when the system is booting, should give you the access (in harmless fashion).

Peter

I mean the MB boot menu. Pressing f2 or Del. Tried it 5 times now and cant get in.

Peter,

I tried to het into the boot menu. (before start Windows) but it wont work. Is that because of being in RAM?

TB sorry  Wink

Gerard,

There is nothing wrong which such a thing, BUT you are completely 100% fully on your own. Happy
If it does not work right out of the box (take 50% on that) then I can not help and nobody will be able to (unless by sheer coincidence someone uses the same).

Real compatibility with such a thing is usually far away and thus it won't do what a normal Windows OS would and which is the only thing I (XXHighEnd) obviously can depend on.

On a side note it would be a good thing if someone would be able to find something cheap (like 20 euros) which works for everybody. And then still :
For me it can't work because the largest HDDs at this moment are 8TB (I think) and that is not sufficient for me.
I still have ~10 HDDs mounted in my music server (no, not all of 8TB - haha).

Peter

Will be be trying something soon. Send it back if it won't work. Still 10 HDDs????  Wink

Would be happy with one 8GB... Will look for that later..

No really,

The 5 track there were some USB and Fifo errors during playback. Really random. But only a few and only one time 2/3 of the track.

104  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: NOS1a (v1.0.4b) : Fifo errors on: January 23, 2016, 10:34:30 am
Well,

I got back to buffer 4 ms. Other buffer size give usb and fifo errors too.

But i played a song right now.

1 track no errors

going to the second track first second 742 error counts and the next second 1198 errors.

From second track to the third in the first second 2400 errors.

So in my situation it only happens in the first seconds of the track. max 2 seconds.

Hi Gerard,

Maybe. But because it actually is XXHighEnd, maybe not ?
For it being a "phenomenon" you should be right. yes

Peter

It is something so special that the topics imo should not be mixed up with the rest.
