When you are back up and running, I suggest that you create a restore point and reboot to that before installing a new device each time. That way your os only 'knows' 1 device. Also you will not create a 'pool' of drivers to confuse. It could create a situation where a device could work on your pc but not on another without your driver pool to call on. Plus, of course you won't reach the magic 10!

From what I've read about the split file size feature it can be stressful, on the PC that is!
Might it be worth setting your chip to it's default speed/multiplier & voltage for a session & see (hear) if it helps?
