You can use "paint" an accessory of Vista, cut & paste from Word, or straight there & save as a jpeg

92  Ultimate Audio Playback / Your thoughts about the Sound Quality / The XXtra Factor on: June 25, 2007, 08:17:57 pm
Hi all
For those of you popping in here for a quick look, do not leave without trying this unique piece of audio software, it will change the way you hear music. I'm sure those of you searching for a good front end will already have equipment capable of discerning the difference between a drum and a trumpet! What you get with XX is much more a feeling of where the music was recorded, atmosphere. But the XXtra factor is this, I perceive my soundstage to be a "cube" of lets say 4metres wide, 2metres tall & 2metres deep. Since XX the depth has increased another metre, however the really impressive part is that the whole cube has moved toward my chair by about metre or more (the standing wave thing?) making it so much more immersive & dare I say real...
If you want a no-frills quality audio player that beats the rest hands down, you're in the right place.
(El Bert is still my hero, but you've done a fine job here Peter)

As a fully paid up member of the "XX Club" (simplicity itself) I'd like to echo the comments of Chris in his post above, excellent job!

Just read your previous post fully, and see that you already know the above, I'll leave you in peace with it!

Similar problem with 0.9. It plays first track, stops, a short pause, then a message, "#3 did not start at the expected time" Hit OK & the next track plays. Then it's the same for each subsequent track. Good exercise, but I'd rather relax & hear the whole playlist!

97  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / XX 0.8c plays one track at a time on: June 22, 2007, 07:54:40 pm
Hello Peter
0.8c will only play 1 track at a time for me with #3. The track bar stays on the far right, where the track ended. I can hit next and the next track will play. #1 & #2 work fine & play through the list.

I'm using USB, on reviewing the Twindac specs I get up to 48 khz up to 16 bit. So that explains that! Sorry If I misled you!

Hi Peter
Also, just noticed, even after the messages the track bar is moving, but no sound.

Hi Guys
I have everything I had with previous version PLUS #3. However when I select Double or UpSmp I get 2 errors. 1st. "Device(currently)does not support/allow Exclusive use.It will not be bit perfect!" Hit OK. & 2nd. "Device cannot be allocated because of not matching sample rate(?)."
Over to you....

I was getting dropouts over a network. I resolved this by turning off auto negotiate in the network card properties & reducing the speed. It worked for me!
