So, LAN runs, but WiFi is dead ? that's what you say ?

maybe you can tell me whether WiFi keeps on running when the LAN is NOT shut down. Does it ?

a) i test this option before i asked you
b) i am  Sad and  grazy
c) i like the sound of 09-4-1   sounds good !
All the options are true!

The button of the option is red. I suppose that this means that i keep the LAN alive! Or did you change the colour?

228  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: 0.9z-4-1 SFS limit ? on: February 26, 2011, 10:39:36 am
On my search to the limit of the SFS value it ends with 8 GB new Memory.

The SFS capabilities ended voor Straight Contiguous in 20MB with the message box to lower the SFS value or reboot the system. A reboot was the only way to get it working again. After a lot of reboots I decided to replace the 3 GB for new memory 8GB. Now SC works without a problem SFS=180MB.

There is in the SFS init file a parameter 1,1 or 2,1 it is also memory related. Do still use it in the program?

Peter you use a old profile......i think....

Hi Peter,

Is there a way to keep Wifi alive after XX ends unattented playback?
Otherwise can you make it switchable so i don't need to reboot the system every time to get it back?!

.......other one (your problem here) is about your PC being too slow to cover for reading in that large amount of memory
Ok I understand now that there are two limits (1) the physical and (2) the long break between the tracks. So everybody who are searching for this SFS limit get this longer break between the tracks first. I had the impression from your answer that I had a special problem here with a slow system. (although I never had the impression that I had a slow system). Sorry but (sometimes) i have some trouble to understand your English text. unhappy

.......one is the physical limit which won't allow playback (not enough (contiguous)) memory available, and the other one......
How do I recognise the moment when I reached this limit, beside the physical limit and the long break between the tracks? Do you have a strategy to find this limit?

Try your SFS capabilities just with Attended Playback ! Once you found the limit, maybe go 10 or so under it.....
So ... I just claim that the largest size is the best...

How do i recognise this limit? Is that the message box telling me to lower the SFS setting or ......? Yesterday i had SFS 500 in Mixed mode (i think) without any message. But I had the impressing that i had a suddenly long break between the tracks.... I will test it again this evening.

Small remark: "You need to pay for RAMDisk Enterprise Evaluation. The evaluation versions are full functional , but they will stop working ( expire ) on April 1st , 2011. RAMDisk from Dataram is Freeware (http://memory.dataram.com/products-and-services/software/ramdisk)

1 How to get the right path C:\Galerie in the left pane. I have set the Music route. Is there a simple way to correct this?
Found it! Change the path (see 1 in attachment) in mine case in C:\Galeries and close and restart XX then you get the right Gallery view in the left pane back (2).

At this moment i have two harddisk completely full. So i am copying the content of both to one 2 TB harddisk. I realize now that every folder contains two reference.GLXX files. What to do, to switch to the 2TB harddisk within XX?
238  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Problem with the Gallary view in left pane on: February 13, 2011, 04:12:06 pm
Hi Peter,

I have some trouble to get the right setting (view)to the gallary(C:\) in the left pane (see attachment). It always happens when i add new tracks to the Gallary. When i add new tracks i change the path (via library button) to the drive containing the last added rips (I:\). With the right button i add the tracks to the Gallary.
1 How to get the right path C:\Gallery in the left pane. I have set the Music route. Is there a simple way to correct this?
2 When i want to correct the wrong spelling of "Gallary" in the path name i used, can i simply correct this by changing the name and path name. Or do i need to change more?
3 Sometimes when i add new tracks in the library (Gallary) i saved them by accident in the original place where the tracks are! Stupid but it did happens more than once. Is it possible to send a warning message "Not a vallid Gallary" ? I have set a music root.

Regards Johan

question: if you want to try using software x-overs, do you need for eg. a second juli@ ? or......?
answer  :It will need another "sound card (Peter)
(from Gainclone heaven topic)
".

Interesting! I'm using a Oris 200 and an Onken bas unit bi-amped. Peter could you make this software x-over function in XXHighend with 2 soundcards in the short term/near future?  Happy

Johan

I think with this you imply you didn't do it yourself.
I did the installation of RAMSDISK by myself. The reason that i use the properties is that the RAMDISK configuartion utility, did not tell me how RAMDISK is configurated. Perhaps i need to stop ramdisk to get this information. But Peter it is sunday i like to listen to music. I have the feeling that i'm rebooting the system the complete day (frustrations!!). I'm afraid when changing things in RAMDISK it wil cost me the rest of the day to get it working again.

Do you use the same RAMDISK program?

Regards Johan
