When pressing next in the sb-2 version,I also have to press play to make next track actually start.

Attended, tracks loaded from Library tab
1 "Next" after a "Play" gives visual the next track, but no sound
2 "Next" after a "Next" gives the sound.
3 "Next" gives visual the next track, but no sound
"Prev" function has the same problem.

Unattended, tracks loaded from Library tab
"Next" and "Prev" function doesn't work.

In version 09 pd it was certainly working correct!

A random process gives, two cores checked see screen 1 (version 09s-1)

After a reboot and playing XX version 09pd, Set Affinity gives:
  • for Process XXHighEnd, still no access;
  • for a random Process, see attachment

Anyway, today you can check things, by choosing Scheme-1 (not the others !), start Playback, and look for the Processor Affinity for a few random processes (Taskmanager, Processes tab, rightclick on a process, choose Set Affinity -> is only there when you have more cores !). When only one core is ticked (not by you), you have it working.

A random process gives, two cores checked see screen 1
XXHighEnd gives the message "No access" see screen 2

Today I start listening where I was last night stopped. The tracklist was still there. Playing XX 09s-1 Unattended. After a few seconds I've got the following error message:
515  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: Version 9s-0 impression on: November 22, 2007, 05:08:38 pm
During playback (version XX 0.9s-1) I sometimes get the following dot NET error.

If this is working differently in your XX, please let me know ...

Screen 1: Start XX, Load the cd and start playing Unattended
Screen 2: Open XX, Stop + Clear
Screen 3: Select new cd, Load
Screen 4: Play, Stop and Clear (Sorry wrong TAB)
Screen 5: Select "The Healer", Load
Screen 6: Delete and Load, all ok

As you can see the playlist is getting longer and longer. Yes I am using the Stop and Clear button. Only the use of Delete button eliminates the tracklist from the past, all Healed! Stop and Clear works, when you don't start the player. You can Load and Clear all the tracklists.

 scratching

These problems starting from XX 0.9s-0/1.

And ... since the first delete already isn't necessary for anything (IMO), any virtual second is too virtual to cause problems.

When you deside not to play all the tracks of the playlist and you want to play something else then I need to use the Delete button. Otherwise the old tracklist remains and other tracks are added on the same list.

Hi Peter,

......If you want to load new tracks : start XXHighEnd, click Clear, load the tracks, click Stop and click Play.

The <Delete> button is very important! After the <Clear> you need to use the <Delete>- button to get a new track list

When you use the <Delete> button twice you get a XX crash.

Hi Peter,

I am using XX 9s-1. Every time when I start XX (playing Unattended) , I need to change the Output setting from "Primaire Geluidsstuurprogramma" to USB Audio DAC . How can I eliminate "Primaire Geluidsstuurprogramma" setting, to have only the USB choice?

When I play "Unattended" all the cracks in the sound are gone! In "Unattended" the changing of Q1 is working.  Without Unattended I have'nt found a solution for the cracks. As I sayed before Q1, invert, priority, scheme, ....has no affect on the cracks!
522  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Version 9s-0 impression on: November 18, 2007, 08:28:31 pm
Hi Peter,

Indeed the end of XXHighEnd?   grazy

Afther installing the new version I have got a lot of cracks in the sound. Changing Q1 has no more any affect on the cracks. Indeed the limit for mine DDDAC1543 is Q1=22 in the versions before. Changing the PCAS from Scheme-1 to -3 does not have a affect on the cracks.

Changing settings during playback stops the player and the only way to restart the music is via a restart of XXHighEnd!

....???....

I am using a USB-to-SPDIF converter bought in the past from Bert. He (has) used it in his TwinDAC. The DDDAC1543 has only a SPDIF input!

What about the FireFace alternatives? e.g. AudioFire2

It would be highly appreciated by the touchscreen users!

Hi Gerner,

Quote
you can buy my FireFace 400....

I had the idea that the best route for audioplayback is via PC=>firewire=>fireface400=>SPDIF=>DAC!

Please could you descripe the sound differences when you listen via the FireFace400 (SPDIF) and direct via the USB=>Twindac+?

At the moment I am using a USB unit (SPDIF out, from the Twindac) as input for the DDDAC1543.

Regards,

Johan
