No problem for me to report errors back so here is another one:

Unattended does not play anything (waited for 3 minuted to play one track (1:30 minutes long) but no sound.

Attended works okay though.. andyes, activation is done properly as far as I can tell (red borders, PA engaged, able to set priorities, etc.)

No error message showed. Will engage logging...  Wink

All with z9-8a is working fine now (activated, minimized et all...).

Time to play around a bit before the movie starts and then more tomorrow if time permits.  Party

Thanks for the quick fix Peter!

I can't make it work... back to 9z-75 (see error).

The popup window normally showing what I should do during the install does not show, the error mesage comes instead.

Followed the Release Notes. Should I uninstall other things first or is this out of my hands?

Bert

Hopefully other people have more luck.

In any event, reserve some heavy time for your next heavy tweaking when 0.9z-8 is up in 5 hours or so from now. Be prepared to not see your beds.

9z-8? What happened to .6 and .7? ;-)

That big improvement?

Can't wait!

Bert

Merry Christmas!

Seems you are (s)winging your room  Grin

Indeed, that is exactly what is happening here... Cool

Please tell me the toilet is tucked away somewhere I cannot see (i.e., that you do not use as a toilet the part of the picture I *can* see). Shocked

No worries, all is clean and fresh in my studio.

As promised...  Wink

Total room dimensions are 8,1m x 4,1m x 2,9m (depth x width x height).

The part behind the speakers is used as entrance, storage, my office, the kitchen and my own toilet!  Cool

How big is that mess actually ? innocent
Comon man. The fact that I can't listen to your speakies anymore shouldn't prohibit from looking at them !

You have no idea! Patience... or come over and enjoy in silence?  Happy

Thanks for the link Tore. I had some issues this afternoon using a different PC with different USB3 board and got blue screens as well and no way to get the NOS1 running.

The updates drivers work just fine and have solved some other issues as well!  Happy

I am listening ATTENDED to a various list as described before and heard 2 very loud ticks (making the subs shaking my roof on these pulses!) and after that the ticks start to do their magic...

The two loud ticks are not the same as the "blobs" described elswhere making woofers move their diaphragm.

This was a volume change of at least 9dB and that seems to be a jump too big?

238  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Ticks related to Volume Normalisation and a Playlist with... on: October 16, 2012, 08:23:06 pm
...tracks from different CD's.

After the 3rd (sometimes the 2nd) I hear a tick each 10 seconds (or so).

Without volume normalisation there is no problem (playing a whole CD neither). The problem comes with changing the Volume by XX itself to normalise in between tracks "in need for" the adjustment.

You've heard these ticks once on the X-fi, it is still unchanged for me.

Thanks Bert. But that is "sort of" by design.

Ah, okay... thanks. That means that my XX copy is doing what is should do.  Cool

Anyway, not related to the problem of this topic at all.

Sorry, but I had to ask ...

Anyone else running into this ?

Nothing like that but perhaps related ... ? XX does not come back after playing a playlist unattended. The screen remains dark and I have to Alt-X to get all activated again (incl. Windows).

Cheers,

Bert
