Hi!

This setup (see topic) gives me sound, but no SPDIF to my external DAC. Engine 3 works fine. But I like engine 4 and KS better.

This is from my log:

Start KS here
Name wanted  : Juli@ Audio >> #esi_wave1  Number of KS devices found : 1
Filter found : \\?\esi#julia_01#5&69f9183&1&0001#{6994ad04-93ef-11d0-a3cc-00a0c9223196}\esi_wave1
Name attempt : Juli@ Audio ** Found ** ** Succeeded ! **
No ambiguous devices found.
Filter used : \\?\esi#julia_01#5&69f9183&1&0001#{6994ad04-93ef-11d0-a3cc-00a0c9223196}\esi_wave1
Sound should play now !

... And it plays! But no SPDIF.

Win7Pro = up to date
Juli@ drivers 1.07

Is there an easy solution for my little problem?

G'day Thorwald, and
Welcome !

Have you tried the old ver 1.21 drivers as mentioned here .....

http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=1063.msg9015#msg9015

In my Win7 32bit environment, the standard 1.05 drivers ( and I presume the later 1.07 ) don't show a SPDIF out option under KS, but those 1.21 drivers do. Perhaps you will have success under 64bit O/S also.

Cheers,

Russ

Thanks! Happy

Well, I read that thread yesterday, downloaded the zip, unzipped it in its own folder, and tried to install. However, my win7 told me that it found no compatible drivers, and guess what, I believed this nice-behaving OS. Maybe I should not believe in everything coming from Gates & Co. Is it possible to use them after all? Maybe it was that .inf file, telling my little OS a lie? I do not know, so I still need help.  Cry

haha .... those words of wisdom have held true for many a year !

Roy ( AUDIODIDAKT ) is the only other user with a Juli@ running W7 x64 that I'm aware of but I think he's in the same boat as you in being restricted to analogue only under KS.

My only other suggestion would be to visit ESI's drivers archives and painstakingly try each in turn. Ya never know what might turn up, although perhaps that is what Roy has already done.

Happy hunting!

Cheers,
