Hi Peter, Here a small old request in unattended mode: Please show artist name and maximum tracks to play from the playlist. Every week i am listening to unknown work from new artists. ...I tried to make all these "context menus" the same, but couldn't manage, so the internal ones I solved, but forgot about the external ones (like the one you showed). In unattended mode you show some settings like sample-rate, inverse,.. Is it possible to add an HDCD-indicator to know what cd is HD encoded?

Pedal, you probably *are* an old man with poor sight. Haha. Slow brain ? ... I'm not so sure. Anyway, after the ToolTip appeared, it's available under the ? button at the top. You won't be able to see that though. So, just click away in that area, until you see the text appear. It will stay there as long as you went out to buy a loop ! Really !! Btw, you can always set the font size to 125% in the Monitor settings. But seriously, once you are used to where the buttons are, you can find them with closed eyes. Even old men can do that. It's nature.  |

Yes, another vote for old blind mice, I mean men, and I'm not even that old or blind. The Q buttons are small enough that they can get lost in a dead pixel and the values, even a loop won't find them. I may be exaggerating but I'm not sure, as I've just lost my Ps & Qs again. can I change it to black on white which is easier on the eyes?
foobar is very good in this department with wide possibilities of customizing the layout

Having a "colour on colour" problem myself I sure know what you can mean. Sorry for it. The colour is not much different from any "modern" equipment with a display, and I (indeed) wouldn't be able to read it from a distance where anyone could.
It all started out as a customizeable thing, but in the end I had to let that go. Later ...
Thanks very much for the feedback; I knew someone would come up with it at some stage ...

Font sizes are too small on the z3 version - running 1920x1080p and even with bigger 125% fonts in windows the text are too small, also the buttons could be bigger imo.
Agree with some above - the contrast in the selected colours are too low. Pick something which increases the contrast, e.g. light on dark or vice versa.

Scaling down the resolution is not an option for me as i use other programs which needs 1080p. And, the defacto standard res these days both on graphics cards and displays are 1080p. Better to change the program me thinks... |

Those little buttons labeled 1 to 5 on the top left. If you simply need to have a shrunken down interface while using XXHE in attended mode, then you should be able to achieve what you want using that feature. With 5 presets to define as you wish, you could set one layout for only the controls, another to show the playlist etc. It's just a matter of dragging the GUI borders around to hide of reveal the components you wish to use. Creating a "lite" version for each release would be a lot more work for Peter I imagine. See below for one example. Cheers, Russ |

Scaling down the resolution is not an option for me as i use other programs which needs 1080p. And, the defacto standard res these days both on graphics cards and displays are 1080p. Let me enlighten you (all) a bit ... First off, no way 1920x1080 is a defacto standard. Not these days, nor will it be tomorrow. That is, not until the time we all work with 23" or larger displays. And will we ever ? I don't think so. So, both feet on the ground, anyone using a normal sized display (allowing 1920x1080 anyway) will not use any random application. And don't tell me something like Word is amongst that, allowing to scale the font size on the fly. What you'd actually want is a larger "form" which doesn't comprise of 640x480 (which is kind of what XX is made for) but 1280x1024 at least. Then everything will be larger and large enough. However : The problem is not that XX is too small or anything, the problem is that you use a too small display with a resolution of 1920x1080. Nice for pictures and movies, but a too high resolution for any normal application. The lot is scalable allright, like it will at setting the OS-wide "scale factor", but I don't know whether this can be used somehow outside of the OS scale factor. If it can I obviously will allow to apply it, but if it can't ... bad luck. And please, we can't turn this the other way around : make it larger for a strange (  ) 1920x1080 setup, while someone like Johan (with a 640x480 screen) won't be able to use it at all (one button would use half of his screen). If you can't agree or have better ideas, anything, please let me know. Peter PS: One more thing : This is not about buttons being too small, it is about buttons being to close to eachother (think touch screen especially). This means that making buttons larger (while the screen stays the same), it gets worse. Please try to get this. |
