Hello all,

Does anyone has any experience running XXHE on Benchmark DAC 1 Pre? I usually feed my Benchmark with digital signal (coax) from Oppo DVD player. I tried switching the player input to XX using stock USB cable. Lots of hiccup and stop interval. Then I tried SPDIF (coax) output from HT Omega game soundcard to DAC. Did not work eventhough I checked 24 bit only in the DAC setting area of XX.

Do I need interface like Hiface or similar to run XX to Benchmark?

Appreciate you help.
Thanks in advance.

Try ThreadPrio = realtime and PlayerPrio = low. It should work without problems. tell me if it not. And if it works... how does the oppo compare to xx?

Thanks a lot Flecko. It works fine with your recommended setting.

As to Oppo digital out vs XX, uhmmm very good questions. I haven't got a chance to do the A-B test a lot. I used Benchmark in my bedroom while XX is in a dedicated listening room (XX to Berkeley Alpha DAC) . I will do the A-B comparison and report back later.

Thanks again.
