Hi.

1.Does the latest version xx work ok at Win7 now? Or is it still Vista for safe play? as mentioned earlier- problems with distortion/ticks. I have "ticks" problems vith Vista Ultimate as well. And sometimes the sound locks up with a loud "BYYYYYYY"  iritating!
2. what is attended/unattended?
3. Do the Phasure dac inklude volumecontrol? or are you using the volume contrl in xx?
4. My Lyngdorf TDA 2200 has a dac that can take up to 192KHz i read. But does it mean i schould select 24 bit/192 for dac setting when playing normal cd/wav?

Hi there,

I can't tell to which version you refer, but locking up of sound as you described it must be from one year back at least;
Ticks ? they can be there, but in very rare situations (2 users complaining about this). Could be your situation too.
In 0.9z-4-0 for sure there are ticks, but in between tracks. Vinyl like.

Generally I don't know what you mean by this. Both are as "safe", and always were (I mean, no real differentiation between the two).

2. what is attended/unattended?

Unattended means that the GUI (program) will not be there during playback. This is for sonic reasons.

The latter.

Normally not. I'm not sure what your "up" means though; If you mean "upsample" with it, it won't be there without a reason, and it could be that it sounds better. Just for you to try.
If you mean that it can take that for input -but better look for a 24/176.4 input !- then all I can tell is that most people like the Arc Predition Upsampling from XX better than doing nothing (to redbook material). This too though, is in the end up to you, and it will vary per DAC. Just give it a try !

I hope this answered your questions a bit. The part about "sound locks" etc. may come as confusing to you, but that is because it comes as confusing to me in the first place ! Happy

Regards,
Peter
