I had HIFI Tuning fuses in my PS Audio Perfectwave DAC when I owned it, and it made a significant improvement in the sound. There are a ton of posts on PS Audio Community forum singing the praises of the HIFI Tuning fuse. I also have a pair of their fuses in my PS Audio P5 Power Plant power regenerator. Just so you know, these talk on the PS Audio forum of the orientation of the fuse when placed in the DAC making a difference. This may be all subjective experience and a bunch of smoke and mirrors but I figure I'd just throw that out there for people who like endless tweaking.

I've had one of these in the DAC in my main rig (not presently using XXHE - but now that Peter's mentioning laptops, that may change) for quite a while, and have been very pleased with what I thought I heard.  (Changing the fuse in my DAC means carefully removing about a dozen small screws, so it takes long enough that an immediate A/B sort of comparison is impossible.)  The manufacturer of the DAC uses either 1000 or 500mA  for this fuse, but at the time I didn't know that, so I ordered one value, read another user saying it should be a different value, and ordered the other. 

So the upshot is I have a spare.  Don't remember at the moment which it is, but I can look when I'm back home this evening.  If anyone would like my spare that was used for perhaps a couple of days, PM me.

Hi, Arvind.  2 numbers, meaning 2 per NOS1, a different one depending on which country/voltage, or...?

In any case, for anyone who can use it and would like to try it, I do have one of these fuses spare (as noted, the 500mA slow-blow, so would be for 230/250V).

The NOS 1 requires 2 numbers fuse in them. Specs of the fuse depends on the country voltage.
