Hi Peter,
In Win10 when I go into MinOS RDC does not work - it works fine in FullOS. I have not had this problem before under win8 using the same XX settings which are below.
SQ is very promising but I need to remove the video card, keyboard mouse and screen to make a proper comparison.

Activate "Keep WiFi services".
This is only known since yesterday, and possibly related to using the RDP app from MS (so not the RDC normal program). Is that your situation too (read : what remote do you use) ?

OK tried keep PAN services but no luck. I did try changing IP address and also no luck.
As you would guess when in MinOS the XX PC cannot see anything on the network. Also can't see the XX PC from anything else on the network. I can get out to the internet though

Build 10074
It is in the bog standard default WORKGROUP as is this one. RDC works fine in normalOS so I would not have thought it could be a workgroup problem.

Btw, don't focus on the PC ('s from mutual sides) are not seen. This is "normal".
What you can do is show me the Running services. Maybe I can see something from there ?

Btw, don't focus on the PC ('s from mutual sides) are not seen. This is "normal".
That is not how it is on my Win8 setup in minOS I can see out onto the network all other PC's but in minOS I cannot see the XXPC from any other device on the network. Cheers Paul |

All,
This is a bit of a pitfall ...
In the stage the OS is (Min OS) it won't "enumerate" PC Names. The pitfall is that it will in Normal OS, so you won't understand much why it doesn't work in MinOS, or easily blame something else (something not running). But MinOS (at least for W10) really needs the IP Address (I always use the IP Address, so I actually don't know the difference really).
Paul, I didn't look, but maybe now switch off WiFi-Direct and Bluetooth if that was On. Or at least try it without that.

Peter - many thanks for your help and I have to say that I am very embarrassed  because setting up RDC using the IP address would normally be the first thing to try - except I didn't even think about it because using the computer name worked in full OS - ah well!!!!! Moral of the story is if you think you know how Win8 works don't assume Win10 works the same way. Another moral of the story is that if you think you get good support from a hi-fi company it is nothing compared with the support you get from Peter.
