Gamer, or anyone else who likes to speed up his system, announce yourself in this topic so we can see who all is interested in getting away of all of the MS bloat and be FAST from now on.

Our software will turn your rig into something which uses approximately 1/4th of the Wattage your system currently consumes, it will make it 70 times faster on taskswitching and your system will go silent and be cold. Meanwhile your games will be faster in general but merely on the response. You will see !


We need 50 testers on software which is used for 10 years by now : XXHighEnd. It will come in a special Gaming Mode setup.
For these 50 testers the software is full fletched and totally free.
We will contact you by the email you used to sign up for this forum and the software will be sent to you;
It is the idea that you express your findings on your system which will be ultimately more fast and cold at the same time.

Only when 50 testers have announced themselves (we can just count them in this topic), we will give it a go for everybody at the same time.
When the limit of 50 is not reached, it is bad luck for everybody and the offer passes.

When we have sufficient feedback (which needs to be positive) the next 100 up will receive the software for 18 euros. After that the price will probably be fixated to 34 euros but it depends on the efforts to spend on our side (I really like every game to run and I also like all what's further done on the PC also to run - to some extent of course).

Upgrades are free for major versions (the current major version 2.xx is out for 2 years, the previous 0.xx/1.xx has been around for 7 years).
Upgrades in this realm will be about the support for new(er) Windows 10 builds or the improvement of the old(er) builds.

It can be problematic to find the first 50 participants, so what I'd really like is that you spread the word once you have found this so we are at the necessary 50 in no-time.

PS: The first post below will be from Paul, who is using the software now for a month. Instead of blasting fans and still being able to fry eggs on his rig, it is now totally silent, the heatsink of his GTX1080 is 137F/58C, the (12) CPU cores 104 to 115F / 40 to 46C - after playing The Witcher 3 for an hour at 60FPS (1080P, all graphics at max and monitor at 144 refresh).

PaulSt is the one I kind of forced into this, because I got mad of his blasting fans and radiating heat, so after a year of contemplating (and unbelief from his side) I told him to install the software and in a month of time he found nothing that does not work.
But temperature sensors don't lie and frame rates don't either.

  Would love to be a tester.  Just built Win 10 gaming PC with same GTX 1080, Intel 7700k, 960 EVO SSD, blah blah.  The bloated OS was my next project to get smoother gameplay.  Running 1440p 144hz monitor

I'm interested in this. Depending on my own level of busyness I may be able to test on 2 computers: my new desktop an i7-6700K 4.0 Ghz, 64 GB RAM, GTX 980ti 6GB; and my old desktop: Core 2 Duo 3.33 Ghz, 8 GB RAM, GTX 780 3GB.  I already tweak every Windows install and have noticed gaming improvements because them - and I'm pretty sure it could get quite a bit better

Would you believe that this has been in my mind to try with XXHE for some time now but I have never had the will to make the effort to test and turn services back on.

I would use this on one workstation with heavy CAD use and two gaming computers...so three for me.

Then there is my mate who games quite a bit...he could definitely use it.

Is four being too greedy?

I have always liked to have my PCs to run fast and be "lean" at the same time.

Just to be sure... Even if I don't play games on my PCs, is it ok to try this and report back?

If so, I would like to have 2 of the software, one for my all purpose PC and one for a laptop?

Dear people,

I have just been working on a longer post in order to explain how I see this not going in the direction I intend. But there are too many contradictions to post it.

I liked to help out gamers and never thought of all else, which alsmost is even more logical. It was already a big surprise to see a few of existing XXHighEnd users subscribing right away (call me thick).

I suppose it requires a discussion I can't really execute on my own.

What I seek for at this moment is gamers which should be enormously helped by this; since for now this is for free, I feel that I can openly address those unknown. This, of course, does not prevent from the "known gang" to have even better ideas about battery life and AutoCAD and actually what not (!). But I need a focus and the focus is gaming for now.

I foresee problems with the licensing and how actually everybody can use this feat for everything. IOW, there can't be a scheme other than "Named per PC". This in itself implies various other problems.

I really like to make something of this, but need some real feedback of a small "mass" (the mentioned 50 or so). Only then we can know how to really improve.

Well, worse actually, and more costly :

What normal XXHighEnd users are used to is the "RAM OS Disk". This is a HDD or SSD which normally contains several OSes, all with their own purpose. You boot into the one you like. And the big fun : all from RAM if you'd want. After booting you remove the HDD/SSD and there's nothing else in your PC except for a processor (and maybe some cooling  innocent).

Each of the OSes is preinstalled including the tuning we talk about and the fun for your gamers would be that the one OS is significantly faster than the other. Example, W10 Build 10074 (which is one of them) is so much "alpha" that it is inherently still very lean. But it works and should do everything you desire.

But haywire, please, I was just responding to your question (and mighty late with it !). So Yes, exactly what you ask is possible, but it is also too expensive (I'd say) at 360 euros for the disk. We audio idiots seem to have money for this, but I certainly won't give you the idea that I think a random gamer has.

The other solution

... is the solution inherently in there anyway, and is maybe not what you expect : It requires a simple reboot from the Minimized OS to the Normal OS. So what happens is this :

You set everything you need in Normal OS. This is the normal mode as how you use it today. All set ? then boot into Minimized OS. This takes as long as a boot takes (for your rig). Done with the gaming ? boot back into Normal OS and all is as how it was. But mind you, if that would be necessary in the first place. So the guy next to me only boots into Normal OS if he needs a driver update of something like his video card or possibly some game mod etc. When done he boots back into MinOS and stays in there until a next time which could be next month. Meanwhile he watches vlogs, uses AutoCad, Work, Excel, name it and everything thus works. But way faster.

Notice that by now we learned that most of such (mentioned) software comes with it own licensing Service (program). So that Service must remain active (or otherwise e.g. AutoCad won't start) and the program has a formal providion for excluding such Services from being killed when going to MinOS.
All these programs anyway work always in Normal OS, as this is just "normal" and 100% of what you were used to. But message : you could for 99% of your time survive in MinOS just the same.

A laptop ? ha ! watch how that is boosted ! (like it suddenly is a hefty desktop).

I'm coming from another audio forum where this thread was linked to spark interest. I would like to try this program.

I suggest seeking interest from GPU cryptocurrency miners. Low power and efficiency is key to their operation so if there is an implement that will reduce the rest of the system overheard and allow only the necessary basics for a GPU to run its calculations, I think they'd be all over the opportunity. I myself can try this function as well as gaming.

What I'd really like is to see what this does with my Vega64, these cards clock based on temp/power. No guarantees I'll still have it when this goes down.

Count me in regardless, I've plenty else to test gaming, audio, and wattage wise. Should be simple enough to benchmark.

Greg, not a bad idea at all. It is only that I don't see much happening in the GPU environment itself. The gain is in the OS and regular CPU. Well, regular ... as you can see in the topic about the Phasure Mach III PC which kind of starts with 16 cores or 32 cores hyperthreaded, *and* if you see that this is supplied with a linear power supply and still super efficient (more efficient actually) then the aim should be in that direction.
Of course I understand that gaming in itself is all about the GPU('s) but the overhead of the OS as how it is normally occurring is huge. Just huge.
How this reflects number crunching ... and GPU vs CPU ... I actually don't know.
But it is on my mind now !
